We flew in and got to the hotel around 10:30pm. We were tired from traveling all day and wanted to go to sleep. We had to call a number on a phone by the first set of front doors for someone to open the front desk to check us in. It was confusing because we called 3 times and no one picked up for several minutes. Once the front desk clerk came, we were told that lots of rooms had recently been trashed by drug addicts… not very comforting. We got checked-in but our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. And it was right off of the parking lot that had men loitering in it. So we requested a room change because the smoke smell was giving us headaches but were initially told there were no other rooms available. I asked for a refund but they said they couldn’t do that since I booked through a third party (Expedia). Eventually, the hotel manager came over and said another room had just opened up because the person’s flight was canceled. The new room was larger, didn’t smell like cigarette smoke, and on the second floor so it felt safer. The bed pillows, towels, mattress, etc. were cheap and uncomfortable. The lighting was cold, white light that makes you feel like you’re in a hospital. Overall, it was fine but we wouldn’t stay there again.
