'This was a last minute late night stop on our way to the Algarves. It was a bit hard to find but ended up being our favorite stop in Portugal over the past 2 weeks. The rooms are beautifully decorated and furnished. The shower is fantastic. The breakfast is simply outstanding. I wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the property and the pool. The owners obviously take pride in the property and what they offer guests. Another plus is the beautiful town and beach area. Highly recommended. Top...

'The house has a heated pool, which allowed us to swim and sunbathe! Although the house also has air conditioning, nothing beats lighting the fireplace and spending some time chatting! Excellent architecture and decoration. Perfect location, in the countryside near the wonderful beaches. The hosts were very friendly and dedicated. We will return again and I recommend it to everyone looking for an ideal place to relax!'

'Sadly, could only stay 1 night this time but the stay was absolutely LOVELY! better than anticipated. the location is so beautiful. tons of greenery, flowers, animals - heaven! on the road leading up to the hotel, you can see the water as well. peaceful, calm, perfect. the staff/service was also wonderful. the breakfast was beyond - fresh, delicious. 'It’s in the country. If you want to be surrounded by nature, serenity and great hospitality this is the place for you. There’s a tennis court and a pool. Bed was very comfortable and there is a small patio off all rooms. No TV in the room but they have a common area with a TV that you can watch. You must have a car for this rural setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! '

'Een parel aan het eind van een 5 km trip op onverharde weg. Eigenlijk beetje avontuur als ge het niet verwacht. Alles is echt ,,af,, op bestemming met mooie kamers, zwembad(je) en een heel apart gevoel van geluk omdat ge er zijt. Ontvangst is opperbest en ik vind het een aanrader voor een dag, miscchien 2. Ontbijt pas vanaf 9 u maar alles vers en home made. Value for 5he money!'

'É a minha segunda vez no Monte do Giestal, mas tal como na primeira, uma estadia prolongada de 5 dias. Tudo é bom aqui, desde as amplas e equipadas casas, super confortáveis, ao espaço exterior, sossego, comida entregue a porta de casa pelas sempre atenciosas funcionárias que não deixam que falte nada. Mais, venho com o meu cão, de porte grande, e também ele adora o Monte. Tem bastante espaço para correr livremente e é muito bem recebido. '

'This is a hidden gem. Booked last minute and were absolutely blown away by what we found. It rained the day we were there so we cozied up in one of there beautifully appointed nooks and read.
