Our four day experience with this Vrbo was less than satisfactory. We never received check in information before our arrival. The day before coming, my text asking about the check in procedures got no reply. On the day of arrival, I finally got a reply saying we needed to pay 6 per person per day in cash, but still no check in information. We arrived only to find the door to the building locked and no one to greet us. A resident finally let us in to the building and out of the rain, but we still had no check in information from the owner. Another text saying we were in the building finally got someone to come downstairs to check us in. We settled in to find dirty dishes/cups in the dishwasher and cupboard and just two towels for four people. Extra towels were left outside the apartment the next day. The TV in the living room had no connection and despite our repeated requests for assistance we received no reply. The kitchen sponge was dirty so we bought new ones as well as two dish towels for clean up. Two days into our stay we were running low on our 3 roll allotment of toilet paper. Again, our request for assistance was unanswered so we bought more. Overall we felt neglected from beginning to end. The location is right in the heart of Florence if you don’t mind the noise late into the night.

This is a review of the host and Vrbo, not the Apartment itself, as I didn't stay at the Apartment due to the host informing me there was a malfunction with electricity and no heat or hot water, so we couldn't stay there. (We were travelling in january, and travelling with an infant). This information was given less than 24 hours before check in, after the host not responding to me reaching out for days before this time. Since the information was given so late, I could not cancel and get a refund. And this was the main issue.I asked the host to cancel the stay, so I could get a refund. They would not (they suggested we cancelled and booked another one of their Apartments), and after a while they just stopped answering on chat. Then I asked Vrbo to help with a cancellation and a refund. Vrbo kept telling me this was up to the host. And they kept reach out to the host on my behalf. I was on the Phone / chat with Vrbo customer service and at least 8 different agents at their customer care over the scope of 12 hours. Making expensive international calls and communicating through the chat service that kept breaking down. Stating my case all over again each time. After 5 days I finally got a refund from Vrbo.

Perfect Location

We LOVED this apartment. It is right outside a market - and at night, we were treated with music from various violinists, celloists, guitarists, etc. who played after the market closed shop for the day. The host provided a list of restaurant recommendations that were not your average tourists spots - and they did not disappoint. The wifi worked well. And the apartment is in walking distance to all of the main areas in Florence. We will undoubtedly use again when we return.

In the heart of Firenze

This was one of the best experiences I’ve had on VRBO. Jaqueline (host) was absolutely wonderful and I would highly recommend staying here. Wonderful!

Amazing apartment that looks even better in person. The location is central to everything and really places you in the middle of the action. We loved everything about the place and would return again. The only potential downside (which did not bother us) is that you will hear some noise from people outside enjoying the city in the evening.

LOCATION!!!

Absolutely beautiful apartment in the heart of the incredible city of Firenze! One block from the Ponte Vecchio, and about three blocks from the Duomo. You can literally walk to everything you want to see in Florence from this apartment. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and the apartment was perfect for our visit. The host, Jacqueline was super nice and accomodating, and nice enough to point out multiple bars, restaurants and things to see and do nearby. Do not hesitate to stay in this gorgeous historic apartment.

Beautiful apartment

This is a lovely historical apartment with gorgeous décor. It is in a great location--we were able to walk everywhere. We stayed here for a week. There is a flight of stairs before reaching the elevator but this is common in old buildings in the area. The apartment is clean, spacious and each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom. Perfect for a family of 4. With the nature of the old building, it took a couple minutes for the hot water to heat up but then there was plenty of hot water. There was some noise from the street in the day time but it didn't bother us and the nights were quiet. The location is ideal for being in the heart of everything. We enjoyed the talented street musicians that performed in the evenings across from the apartment after the daily market closed. We communicated easily with the host and always received prompt responses. We would stay here again. We recommend Venchi gelato only 2 shops from the apartment. Also, the pharmacy next to the apartment is friendly and was helpful in calling us a taxi.

Great location but…

The location was wonderful. We knew there was an elevator but were surprised to see that you had to climb ~23 stairs to reach the elevator. The pictures were accurate, the cleaning crew may have been in a rush. There is a microwave in the kitchen, but the outlet is coming out of the wall which was an issue for me. Main bathroom - cold water showers some of the time / the other bathroom did not have a water issue. I would not book again - but would search that area.

Ideal location

The apartment is spacious and in a very convenient neighborhood to Duomo, Uffizi and in the heart of the city. The market vendors just across the street are noisy with early morning setup. The same area becomes a stage for musicians in the evenings we found to be delightful. Better communication from the host would have been appreciated. Overall, the apt was a good choice for a few days in Florence.

What a great location! This place was perfect for 4 adults. One room was quite small with a small bathroom, but that is to be expected in such a city. The AC was crucial and kept us cool. Jacqueline was super helpful and accommodating. Thumbs up all the way.

The apartment is exactly as in picture. Very clean.. Location is exactly in the center of the center. Kitchen fully equipped. We were charged extra 30$ for late checkin - even though I was updated I don’t understand why to charge extra for it. I would recommend to friends and will return.

Beautiful apartment; location, location, LOCATION!

Our stay in this apartment made us feel like we were living in renaissance Florence. The apartment itself is pretty incredible. Living room ceiling is painted like the ceiling of the Uffizi or a comparable gallery. On the whole, it felt like a miniature palace. Beds are comfortable; A/C in every room is welcome. Kitchen is good enough for a family or group for a short stay. Location is prime. Feels like you're a three-block walk from everything. Short walk to the Ponte Vecchio; two blocks from the Palazzo Vecchio and Uffizi (and a super-yummy sandwich shop called Dal Vinaio); three or four blocks from the Duomo; across the river from Boboli Gardens; in the middle of the main shopping district. Could not ask for a better location if you want to live in and experience the heart of Florence. Only word of caution: There is an open-air market across the street from the apartment. Vendors begin to set up their shops early in the AM (around 5:30 - 6:00 am), which can be a bit noisy (typical, middle of the city early morning noises); then in the evening, the market serves as a location where buskers do nightly performances, which regularly went until 11 pm (and one night went way too late, with an absolutely awful male soprano performing opera until 12:45 am). In general, the performances are good (and the apartment's windows muffle the sound well enough), but if you're a light sleeper it's something to consider.
