We enjoyed our six night stay at the home. The home is in great condition, spacious, with comfortable furniture, and well equipped as far as plates, glasses and cooking utensils. We enjoyed being outside on the large elevated back deck and also the spacious jacuzzi underneath.

We had a great stay at this VRBO in Fernie! Communication with the host was easy and responsive from start to finish, which made everything seamless.The basement ski room with heated floors was perfect for drying out our gear overnight The place was very clean and well maintained, and there was plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably. The location is also a big plus—very close to the base of the hill.The only downside was that we couldn’t take advantage of the ski-in access due to a lack of snow around the property, but that’s obviously weather-dependent.Overall, a very solid place to stay and we’d definitely consider coming back.

Lovely stay

We loved our stay, enough room, a lot of different seating outside, beautiful area. Near ski lifts. Some wilde life in the yard and a nice hottub to avoid muscle pain after hiking.

Our Boys ski group enjoyed the stay

Group of old-dude skiers have hung out a lots of VRBOs and ski resorts over the years Really enjoyed this house - appears recently remodeled, nicely decorated and well equipped (kitchen supplies and utensils, appliances, etc ). Would not hesitate to book again at this resort Enjoyed our getaway

A Thanksgiving to remember

10 of us spent Thanksgiving 2023 together at this lovely and very comfortable chalet. It was well equipped with everything we needed and a perfect set up for 3 families.

Great for large groups!

The Heartland Hideaway was the perfect accommodations for our group of 10. Very comfortable stay on the hill with only a short walk up to the lifts and ability to ski up steps away at the end of a day on the hill. The private hot tub was a nice treat after a long day of skiing.

Quick Ski Getaway

We came for a quick ski getaway. There was an issue with the hot tub and owner was awesome with communication and was able to quickly resolve!

My friends had a wonderful stay at the location. Very spacious and well furnished. Walk to ski hill was about 10mins. Suggest driving up to the hill parking lot if that's an option. Overall good experience!

Nice Fernie Stay

This property was in a beautiful location and looked just like it was presented. It was spacious for the seven of us. It was beautifully decorated. We enjoyed the large upper deck, hot tub and large kitchen table. The property manager was prompt in responding and addressed any issues.

Fabulous house

We were 100% happy with this VRBO. Was exactly as shown in photos( some aren’t!). Beautifully decorated with well stocked dishes/ cooking utensils/ etc. Lots of space for my family of 10. Lovely neighborhood & very close to ski lifts. Highly recommend.

True North is a relaxed home with lots of space to enjoy

We loved the kitchen appliances, utensils etc. We had everything we needed including the great island. The heated floor in the ski room downstairs is perfect to dry equipment. Our beds were very comfortable. Our favourite features were the hot tub and fireplace. The street was quiet with 3 vehicle parking and private view to the back. Everyone walking in the area was friendly and kind. Such a relaxing place. We don’t feel this was a ski in/out location. The snow is waist deep on the incline from the back trail up to the lower level hot tub/back door. There are also trees growing in the only possible space. Our adult group could not climb up. Overall a beautuful place, and great skiing mid Jan 2023.

No A/C so beware

Yes there was nothing in the listing stating it had A/C but I assumed this was standard these days in most rentals. We contacted the property manager and Chris brought in fans the next day at their expense as the Homeownwer wouldn’t do a thing.... I thought at almost 500 a night that you would get more than this but it is really set up for winter and skiing. So beware if you are not renting this in winter as you will have a rough time sleeping. The main level was 28 degrees at almost 10 pm and the upstairs level was well over 33 degrees. The house other than this was nice but the furniture was not very comfortable and hard to sit in. Will 100% not rent this house again for the price you pay and what you get. I rented another house that is almost double in the same area but you get much more. Again Chris and Diana were great at the rental agency so I would book through them again but in a different house.

Spring Skiing Fun

The property is about a 7 minute walk to the hill. Lots of room in the cabin and two decks to use. It was a great place and I’m going to rent it again next year for another Fernie holiday.
