    The Retreat heeft zojuist een aantal spannende nieuwe renovaties voltooid om uw Leatherwood-vakantie nog aangenamer te maken! The Retreat is een luxe hut met een panoramisch uitzicht op de Blue Ridge Mountains. Deze afgelegen blokhut is weggestopt uit het zicht - dus of u nu op zoek bent naar een romantisch uitje of een gezinsavontuur - ontspanning, geweldige herinneringen en een uitweg uit elke dag zijn verzekerd. The Retreat is professioneel opnieuw ingericht met nieuwe afspraken en meubels overal, die allemaal het unieke karakter van de rustieke hut behouden.

    The Retreat is ontworpen als je vakantie enclave en beschikt over drie niveaus, elk met een prachtig uitzicht op Blue Ridge Mountain vergezichten. Het hoogste niveau beschikt over een grote slaapkamer met aangrenzende grote badkamer die uitloopt in een loft met twee aparte bedden, voor vier personen. Het hoogste niveau is voorzien van gewelfde plafonds met een stenen open haard, een goed uitgeruste keuken en een grote badkamer met een jacuzzi-bubbelbad dat verbonden is met een grote slaapkamer voor twee personen. Het lagere niveau was ontworpen als een "suite" van een verzamelplaats. Geniet van een spannend spelletje foosball, een film of satelliet-tv op een 52-inch Blu-ray / dvd-televisie, of speel een van de vele aanbiedingen van het Wii-spelsysteem. Het lagere niveau beschikt ook over een koningin slaper en twee op maat "ingebouwde" stapelbedden, slapen nog eens vier.

    Naast het ruitersportcentrum van Leatherwood Mountain, ruiterpaden, gevulde vijvers, wandelpaden, zwembad, tennis en speeltuintjes, heeft The Retreat meer dan 6 hectare bos te verkennen naast een op maat gemaakt stenen vuurplaats, speciaal geschikt voor u om Geniet van een glas wijn of s'mores op een kille avond. Ook inbegrepen in The Retreat-ervaring is een nieuwe hot tub voor 6 personen die is gesitueerd om panoramische uitzichten op de bergen te vangen en uw ontspanning tot een goed einde te brengen.

The cabin is beautiful and the views are incredible. If you are looking for peace and quiet, this is the place. We enjoyed the deck and high top tables and chairs. Plenty of deer during walks. Only 45 minutes drive to north wilkesboro for the races. Had a few issues with spiders and spider webs. Would be great if cleaning crew could take care of this for future renters. Suggestion to get grill brush and leave an extra filter for the refrigerator water dispenser. We bought water before which was a great choice seeing filter was past due. Also, the ice dispenser did not work but we were able to grab ice out of the bin. Patio door very hard to lock and close as handle was loose but all minor issues. Overall we were pleased with the four nights and highly recommend.

Perfect in every way with breathtaking views

from the moment you step in there is warmth, hospitality and beauty . we have stayed in many places - this was amongst the best. Very clean, beautifully decorated and just perfect . It is a wonderful spot to be with family and the views are incredible. Cannot recommend enough. We are so grateful to the owners for sharing their beautiful spot

Everything was beautiful and well furnished. There is one thing I would like to see improved. The TV service in the Living Room was outstanding and different than in the Master Bedroom. The Living Room television could be a little bit larger for us over 65 year old. I also serviced 20 years active duty in the United States Marine Corps. The choice of channels in the Master Bedroom is very limited. I believe having the same TV lineups in your Master Bedroom as in the Living Room would definitely would provide a good return on your investment. I mostly slept in the Living Room because I was watching the Downtown Abbey series which I could not get in the Master Bedroom. Lastly the incoming telephone number for The Retreat needs to be posted more VISIBLY. Wish I could have stayed longer!!!FIB 06/07/2022

Mountain “Retreat”

We have an amazing time at The Retreat. It was a beautiful view, great location and the kids had an amazing time. The house can fit a larger group and next time we’ll be sure to bring more family. There were plenty of things to do including horseback riding and hiking. The house was clean and had awesome decor. We’ll be back!

Beds were comfortable, it was very clean, tons of amenities, hot tube was so clean. The downstairs was so useful for the kiddos! We ate in most of the time other than the wedding. The restaurant could be a little more robust but the customer service was beyond amazing. Everyone was so nice and accommodating. The only down side was the roads getting there. I had no idea that the road would be that long or dangerous getting to the cabin. The driveway is also very steep. After we were there a few days we got used to it, but visiting the other family cabins was a long drive. But even with that being said we will for sure come back!! Hopefully every year!!

Great view but a little disappointed in property anenities

The house was amazing and had everything you needed…. Shampoo, coffee, creamer, towels, spices and other cooking basics like oil/butter. Bummed that they only do horseback riding and we’re booked both weekends we were there, the creek was too shallow to tube and the big fishing pond was dried up. The views were amazing and all the hams were appreciated on the rainy days.

The Retreat

We loved the house and property. The house was well appointed and very comfortable. It rained the entire time but we had everything we needed at the house to have a wonderful family weekend. The only negative thing I can say about the house is it’s infested with stink bugs.

A slice of heaven

Really a fabulous, breathtaking view. Sunsets and star gazing were phenomenal! The unit has two k cup coffee makers. Bring k cups! Kitchen was otherwise extremely well stocked otherwise. Everything you need! Hot tub was great as was fire pit and grill! Game room is a really nice bonus! Kept the kids entertained all weekend! Drive up to the property is steep and winding, be prepared in inclement weather. I would suggest bringing a pillow from home for adults, honestly my only complaint. Pillows in the master bedroom were nice but in other beds not so comfortable. Really fantastic location and views! Pretty clean although any mountain property is going to have stink bugs and we did, they didn't bother us much though and it wasn't a big deal. Thanks for your hospitality! Really enjoyed our stay!
