Comfortable stay
We stayed in a recently renovated room in the stable annex, very comfortable. Friendly staff at reception and in the restaurant, food was good too. Free parking for hotel guests, enter registration number at reception.

Very Gloomy
The toilet had not been flushed, there was a strong smoking smell, the receptionist said she could not do anything about it... The room furnishing was outdated. So far away from those charming little pubs...

Comme à la maison!
Très bon accueil. La personne à la réception a été très aimable et nous a conseillé un restaurant pour le diner. Le jour du départ, la personne à la réception a pris le temps de nous expliquer comment rejoindre Portmouth en bus de ville. Elle s'est renseignée sur les horaires, sur les attractions à faire sur Portmouth et nous a réservé un taxi. Toujours avec le sourire. Le petit déjeuner était copieux et sympathique. La chambre immense ce qui a fait la joie des enfants. Hôtel très propre et typique du charme british.

Bien situé. difficile a trouver la nuit
Nous avons trouvé un kindle dans le tiroir de la table de nuit. etonnant non? nous l'avons rendu a l'acceuil. Qu'est-il devenu? Il est dans une pochette avec le notice et l'adress du proprietaire.D'autre part, la douche a coulé toute la nuit et la bouilloir ne fonctionnait pas. Nous avons signaler ce dernier par telephone . L'employé a fait ce qu'il a pu.Au restaurant, on a refusé le cheque de bienvenu sous pretexte que nous avons pris les repas en promo. faux car notre choix etait imprimé au menu et affiché au mur.

The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, amazing breakfast and lots of options. Shower rail was quite rusty so the curtain didnt pull smoothly. The bed was very comfortable with lovely soft sheets although i hardly slept due to loud almost constant noise of what sounded like the heating. I turned the radiator off but it made no difference unfortunately so if i came again id not stay in rom 15.

Wi-Fi. Very poor and unable to use it. Rather than just putting a password in like most other places, you have to open an account and supply all your personal details first. (to sell on to other parties) This is not acceptable so we were unable to use the internet which meant we missed important messages and were unable to research local places of interest.

Clean and cosy room in the centre of Fareham
Clean and super convenient hotel in the centre of Fareham. Checkin in was easy, and our room was on the first floor. We were directed to the stairs (I don’t know if there is a lift anywhere, but we didn’t see one…. Not a problem for us… we were travelling light and only staying one night), and found our room easily. The room was clean and warm… with a kettle and facilities for tea and coffee making. The bathroom was basic, but clean…. Bath with a shower over it… shower gel provided. All good. The only small gripe I have with it was that the bed seemed quite narrow for the 2 of us. We’re both relatively broad people, but it felt narrower than our bed at home. As a result, my partner struggled to sleep well (apparently I was all elbows), and that’s the only issue we had….

My room was over the reception area and we were crept awake by being able to hear conversations in this area, also after eventually getting some little sleep being woken again early morning with the same problem. The bed was also to small and on my side the mattress collapsed if you got to near the edge which was mealy all the time because of the bed being to narrow.

My "go to" place
Rooms were very clean and neat. Centrally located in the middle of Fareham. With an easy walking distance of the train station and the bus terminal, multiple restaurants within walking distance, however, you didn't need to go anywhere because the Red lions own house restaurant was absolutely delightful. I looked forward to breakfast every morning as it was superb.Super peaceful uncluttered atmosphere and the morning wait staff was second to none. Definitely my go to place when I stay in the area :-)

A two night stay to visit family. We were warmly greeted on arrival and checking in was quick and easy. Room was comfortable and warm and very quiet. As we have stayed before we know that we would have no problems.
