Like: the vibe of the hotel. Everywhere you look, there are references to the weather. This made me smile. Room was clean. Beds were nice. Breakfast was simple but did the job. You could order pancakes if you asked staff for this <3. Cons: our room did not have a view (we were looking at another building in a back-alley). There was a lot of noise from the public transport so sleeping with an open window, wasn't an option. When you closed the window and used the climate control, this was fine though.

A Cumbrian castle built on original Roman foundations in Ravenglass overlooking the River Esk. Privately owned by the Pennington family for over 800 years it has a beautiful interior with a magnificent library, and most notably Himalayan Gardens. The gardens thrive because apparently the microclimate here from the hillside and coastal atmosphere make it the equivalent of being at 11,000ft altitude in the Himalaya. #cumbria #muncaster #ravenglass

Eskdale walks from Eskdale campsite. A great place to pitch your tent. We took a 3km walk from the campsite, 1 1/2 hr moderate difficulty with a 20 Minute uphill ascent, through mine ruins and taking in a beautiful Tarn at the top.
