On the flip side from rear of property you can enjoy the most stunning sea and mountain views and actually feel that you are in paradise. Stroll around the village and visit the local pubs, restaurant and cafe.. A short walk brings you to the local strand where you can have a long leisurely swim. Stroll to the local Tranquility garden and enjoy the peace and beauty there. A short car journey brings you to Ballycrovane Harbour where you can explore the Ogham Stone the largest standing stone in Western Europe. Take a boat trip to the Kenmare River or Bull Rock with Beara Boat Tours to whale and dolphin watch. A few kilometres up the road is The Hag of Beara and Kilcatherine Graveyard and monastic Church.There are beautiful walks on the Beara Way which bring you to other little villages in the locality. If you feel like venturing further afield there is a bus service 4 times a day to Kenmare linking up with the Killarney route. In the opposie direction you can grab a ride to Castletownbere , Glengarriff or Bantry or likewise visit the beautiful village of Allihies, home of the copper mines, have dip in Ballydonegan beach whilst there.
