We rented the Homestead at Carlton Landing. Because we had rented in CL before, we knew we were supposed to get a welcome email- but hadn’t up to 2 hours before our stay. I called and spoke with Kayla, who was so gracious and sent me the email, as it had been forgotten. Kayla, also the CL director of hospitality, mentioned that her family lived above the garage at the house we were Renting. That’s something I would have liked to know beforehand, and honestly kind of a deal breaker. We rented an entire house for some privacy and that just felt awkward. She mentioned that she would keep her kids out of the yard, which I assume would be expected, as we paid a pretty penny to rent the whole house (we thought) with the yard. There were cobwebs in the chandelier and in the corners and a pair of socks (not ours) was found under the bed in the kids’ room. The kitchen sink was missing a guard for the garbage disposal, which was a potential safety issue. The design of the house was amazing, as was the location, but overall, for what we paid (over $2,000 for 3 nights), it was absolutely not the lu
