Cozy cottage with large terrace and beautiful view over the Åkrafjord. Here the children will find great activities such as slide, sandbox, swing, playhouse and trampoline. You live not far from the fjord, which offers two swimming beaches and good fishing from the land. There is also a boat rental at the fjord if you want to go on a fishing trip or boat ride. Fishing in fresh water is also possible here, for example in the lake Stordalsvatnet or in the river Etneelva. Good hiking conditions can be found at the Åkrafjorden and in the mountain Etnefjella. Worth a visit is the farmstead Åkrafjordtunet with a restaurant and a store selling local food. A short drive away is the spectacular Langfossen waterfall, which plunges 612 meters and has been named one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world. Visit the towns of Etne with stores and cafes and Skånevik with summer festivals. We also recommend a day trip to the Hardanger region with the barony of Rosendal, the nature experience museum Folgefonnsenteret and the popular rock Trolltunga. After an hour's drive you can reach the popular ski destination Røldal; from Røldal you can follow the Norwegian Landscape Route through fantastic natural environments to the Lysefjord. In wintertime Røldal invites you for cross-country skiing and downhill skiing.
