B&B in Essex

'Overall the place was clean, but definitely needs some renovation. The television did nit work properly, the bathroom is outdated and the door didn’t close properly. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was also decent wifi but the choice of what to watch on the television waa quite limited with no satellite. Decent place for a short stay.'

'We hebben een fijne tijd gehad. Jammer dat de kamer verouderd en niet schoon was. Eten was heerlijk! En het personeel was top! Zo vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Vooral voor de manager Babs een hele dikke pluim!'

'Heerlijk hotel goed bed prima voorzieningen, goed ontbijt, prima dineren. fijn personeel'

'This place is a gem! There is a bus that is a block away and takes 20 minutes to Stansted Airport. The room we had was wonderful: beautiful bed linens, Turkish bath robe, lovely decor, and a beautiful, healthy, breakfast in the fridge that included a very fresh and attractive fruit platter. The little touches like the coffee machine, toaster, and excellent bread, butter, jams, fresh milk, pretty china cups and plates, made us feel we were in a real home. Martha Stewart could not have done...

'Zeer proper, mooie kamers, excellente service, gratis wifi, ongelofelijke locatie! zeer lekker ontbijt. 1 tip een bordje hangen met pijl om de b&b nog beter te vinden.'

'We have stayed at the Marlborough before on our travels in 2025 and when we retuned this year 2026 we wanted to stay again but longer this time. So glad we did everyone one was kind and friendly and new what they were doing. the pub itself and the rooms were excellent and vintage. The area of course is wonderful. All service, food and beverages top class. We plan on returning possibly next year and will likely stay even longer. Thank you.'

'Vriendelijke, hard werkende mensen, maar voorzieningen, zoals een moeilijk door te trekken wc en een te klein bed, rechtvaardigen niet zo'n hoge score.'
