'Al Manara is truly a beautiful well maintained Riad combined with some design touches that we appreciated and admired. Very clean , great location, lovely people and the breakfast is amazing. We stayed in a room which I believe was the smallest in this Riad as all sold out due to festival but it was functional. I gave it four as we liked to have an air condition and TV in the room. The riad has a TV in the common area only and no room ACs. Overall highly recommended'

However I don't think this is a four star hotel as there weren't facilities which a four star room should have like a refrigerator and a electric water cooker. 'A parking space was reserved for us in front of the hotel. The staf were kind and helpful at check in. The room was very clean and what an amazing view on the ocean. Breakfast was also good. The only point for improvement is that down stairs tables and chairs were being moved late at night, which kept us awake!'

'This is a very good hotel in the middle of the medina of Essaouira. It is located on one of the main streets of the medina and is as such easy to find (contrary to some other hotels, in which case you have to walk through endless narrow streets and may get lost). The port and the beach are both within walking distance. The hotel is beautifully decorated and gives the aura of a traditional riad. The rooms are fine.'
