'We stayed five nights at Charlie’s El Nido. We had fairly high expectations, as this was one of the most expensive hotels we booked during our six month trip through Southeast Asia (around $100 per night). 'The bedside lamp doubles as a phone charger and has a switch so you don’t have to get up to turn it off. Small thing, but I loved it and slept better than I have in a long time. The sea view room faces Bacuit Bay. It’s close to the port, so it’s a sea view but not quite a beach view. The hotel can arrange motorbike rentals and island hopping tours, though there’s no breakfast included. All things considered, Z Garden was the most comfortable place we stayed during our entire El Nido trip.'
