We had fairly high expectations, as this was one of the most expensive hotels we booked during our six month trip through Southeast Asia (around $100 per night). 'We stayed in a family suite which had two full size beds and three twin size beds. Clean white sheets. Property was well maintained. The rooftop can use some help. If could be a nice outside area to relax in. The best part of this stay was the staff. They were super positive and wanted to make sure we were comfortable. 'We stayed for 5 days in this luxury hotel. Beautiful pool, and that was the best of our stay. This place can be very nice but needs a lot of upgrading to be real 5*. The rooms are cheaply decorated with a luxury touch. If you pay 275 euro per room per night you would expect a luxury bathroom with a bath and rain shower. There was only a simple handshower which you can expect in a hostal. Also the toilettries, cheap ones and the carton boxes of toilettries were full of fungus inside. Although...

'The bedside lamp doubles as a phone charger and has a switch so you don’t have to get up to turn it off. Small thing, but I loved it and slept better than I have in a long time. The sea view room faces Bacuit Bay. It’s close to the port, so it’s a sea view but not quite a beach view. The hotel can arrange motorbike rentals and island hopping tours, though there’s no breakfast included. All things considered, Z Garden was the most comfortable place we stayed during our entire El Nido trip.'
