'After a last minute change of plans beyond our control, the staff really went above and beyond to make the stay comfortable, even providing food outside of kitchen hours and an earlier breakfast time. Can't say enough good things, would absolutely recommend to anyone looking for a place to stay in Alnwick.'

'If you stay in the cottage the water is powered by a tank and therefore the hot water runs out and i therefore had to have a cold shower!!'

'Tha staff were very helpful and polite, the hotel is well positioned for access to A1 and local bus route to Town. The room was perfect with plenty of room and an extra large bed. We had dinner in the hotel there was plenty of choice and all freshly cooked, excellent.'

'This is one of the better Premier inn locations. Staff were available and it was reasonably clean. It was also quiet.'

'Stayed with my wife for a one night break. The room itself was very nice and clean but unfortunately the bathroom/toilet had a rather unpleasant smell suggesting there were issues with the drains. It had been raining and the French window door had a poor seal at the bottom so the carpet there was wet. In the morning the hot water was only luke warm (we were told there was possibly a problem with the boiler and given an apology but nothing else). The bar lacked a nice seating area for hotel...

'Very impressed,excellent hotel'

'The bar & outside area was really good. Lovely beer garden. Staff were very friendly. We did not have breakfast but Dinner menu had a good selection of very tasty food.'

'Voortreffelijke eigen kamer en een mooie huiskamer. Gastvrije landlord. Magnifiek haast naast Bamburgh Castle'

'A lovely stay in Alnwick in September 2026. We had a large room with a view of the castle. Breakfast was very good as were the evening meal options. Staff were all friendly, helpful and seemed very competent.'

'Second stay here. Fab place, full of character and quirkiness Great location! Great staff, though could do with a couple more as only 3 working in a very busy pub...and they worked hard and with a smile 😃 Seemed a little less loved this time, sadly, like a bit of paint was needed, but still a great place!'

'Just back from a lovely stay at the Black Bull Inn. Staff were friendly and welcoming it's in a lovely location for parking and amenities. We had the luxury of staying in room 14 which featured a four poster bed, the room was lovely and the breakfast was amazing thank you cant wait to visit again.'

'Room was very clean and decent size. Excellent location for all amenities pubs, harbour, and food.'
