My experience with both the HOST and VRBO’s handling of this situation has been unacceptable. Despite multiple calls, messages, and documentation providedLet me be clear: this property was unsafe, unsanitary, and managed by a completely unprofessional host who should not be listed on your platform.Timeline and Issues: • I contacted the host multiple times prior to arrival and again on the day of check-in—no response. • I was forced to call the host directly upon arrival to obtain check-in information. He answered only then, seemed unaware of our booking, and provided the code within five minutes. • Upon entering the home, the cleaner was still working (not an issue in itself), but she informed us that the dryer was broken, which the host never disclosed. • There were only six body towels available, and the rest were in the laundry—unclear if they were even clean. • The home smelled strongly of smoke, which the host blamed on previous guests. We have a guest with COPD so this was unacceptable • The recliner was broken and several areas were poorly maintained.The next day, when other guests from our group arrived, we discovered sheets stained with blood and other unknown substances. This was the last straw.We immediately contacted VRBO, who instructed us to call the host. The host became loud, rude, and hung up on me when I requested a cancellation. We asked for a partial refund for the remaining days and still haven’t heard back
