    Newly built, custom home 3 blocks from beach with screened porch & deck



    The Space:

    Custom-designed and newly built in 2016, this modern farmhouse on Edisto Island provides gorgeous style and easy walking access to the beach only three blocks down the road.



    This cottage sits on a spacious corner lot surrounded by native trees, in a central Edisto location right on the bike path. You'll be close to the golf course, shopping, dining, and the beach right down Lybrand Street.



    Inside, you'll be greeted by all sorts of thoughtful touches - vaulted ceilings with exposed cathedral beams, wide-plank hardwood floors, French doors with transoms, and central AC with ceiling fans throughout. There's an open-air kitchen with handmade cabinetry, Cambria quartz countertops, a vintage cast iron sink, and an adjoining pantry/laundry room. The outdoor spaces are every bit as special, including an expansive screened porch, a large deck for sunbathing, and a patio underneath the house with an enclosed outdoor shower (with hot water) and patio seating.



    Other great features include a primary bedroom suite with custom closets and a private bath offering a tile shower, a hallway bath (to pair with the second bedroom) with a unique Singer sewing machine sink, and a fish-cleaning station in the garage.

Great location on the island. Very short walk to the beach. Relaxing, quiet, and saw a bunch of wild life! Low key location and inexpensive for a getaway to an island full of history.

Wonderful Stay!

The location of this house is fantastic. Its central location make it convenient to everything- the beach, Food Lion, Whaleys, the fishing charters on Docksite, Whaleys. The house itself is beautiful. We loved the high ceilings and the large rooms. Overall, the exterior needs a good pressure washing, but otherwise we would recommend this property to others.

The Jungelow is clean, comfortable, and so cute! It is very roomy and has everything that we need. I especially love the screened porch. It is the perfect location for deer watching and not far from the beach.

Ideal for us

This is a very well-built, nicely appointed house with a great floor plan. It’s always a relief to find all the kitchen equipment and dinnerware in excellent condition which is not always the case with a vacation rental. It sits on the one main intersection on Edisto, but closing the windows and doors, it was very quiet. Of course, we were there in December when the island’s population is at a low point. I’d rent this again.

Always a good time on Edisto

Property could be excellent with a little attention. We left a list of maintenance needs that, for the most part, I could resolve in a single day of handyman work. One item will necessitate more professional attention as it relates to roof and interior vaulted ceiling. Even with the pesky items, the place was still a good location.

We enjoyed our stay here. It is a beautiful beach home. The kitchen was well appointed. It was nice to have all the cookware, utensils, and storage containers that we needed for the week. The home is on a sand road at a fairly busy intersection. This did not bother us but if you want to be in a place that has no traffic, you may not like this location. We loved the sand roads and took a golf cart ride on them each night. There is very little traffic on the sand roads. The living room furniture and beds were very comfortable. The owners have included a very nice collection of board games as well.

Wonderful House Moments From Beach

This house has absolutely everything one could need for a carefree vacation. The kitchen is very well appointed, up to and including paper towels and dishwashing soap. Lots of towels in the bathrooms. Washer and dryer(and soap pods!). The AC is great and there are fans everywhere. Three TVs in the house if you really must have them. It’s a VERY short walk to the beach. The house is beautifully and comfortably furnished. The screened in porch and outside decks are wonderful. There is one issue and that is the traffic around the house. It is situated on arguably the busiest intersection in the area. Inside the closed up house it isn’t an issue. On the porch and deck it can get pretty noisy. We decided that we loved staying in this rental anyway and would love to stay there again.

It has it all.

My family and I have been renting beach houses from edisto every year for over 30 years and I must say this rental experience was one of the best. Everything was there if you needed it. It checks all the boxes. I love how the kitchen cabinets and drawers were labeled and set up. The laundry room has a big area to put extra food or miscellaneous items. There is a cute bench area in the kitchen where you could store your bags and don’t worry about bringing any games cause they have them. Everything was clean and no bugs. This was my first time renting solo but it was a very easy process. I really love the fact that I was able to check in after hours. This is a must house for anyone who loves a modern twist to vintage chic furniture. Very unique. Oh and a definite plus was the access to all the main streaming platforms for all TVs. :)

Perfect location!

We enjoyed our family trip to Edisto and staying at the Junglelow. The house is adorable with cute decor and so close to the beach! Overall, it was a great trip! We did have a mix up at the beginning of the week thinking the golf cart that is on the property was for guest use. Initially, we were told it was then told it wasn’t. Unfortunately, it wasn’t. The trash also wasn’t picked up on Monday as stated so it left us with a full container all week. Of course, not a huge deal. Once we got home, we noticed all of our clothing has a smell like old cigarette smoke. Not sure if this was due to previous guests or from the house itself. None of these are deal breakers and we’d stay here again.
