This home is right in between Turtleback Mountain Preserve and Moran State Park, so wildlife sightings are almost a guarantee no matter what time of year you are visiting. It is also a short drive into the town of Eastsound, where the local restaurants and shopping are second to none.

A beautiful home with tons of room and a deck with a view that we didn’t want to leave. This is a great house for having a magical Orcas Island experience. The kitchen is very well stocked. We were able to make some meals and had everything we needed. Beds were super comfy.

The Gafford House is a wonderful place for a large group vacation. The view is magnificent and we saw several bald eagles and a golden eagle…don’t forget your binoculars. There is a large bird feeder on the deck to enjoy the local birds…so bring some bird seed. The kitchen is equipped with more than you could imagine needing to make a gourmet meal and we made several. There is a Webber BBQ for grilling. Games galore and puzzles. The tub in the master suite is amazing. I would recommend this property to anyone looking for relaxing, enjoyable, memory making vacation.

The home is absolutely spectacular, it was everything and more than what was shown in the pictures. It was very clean; the kitchen is very well stocked and the bathroom amenities including the black facial wash clothes didn't go un-noticed. The back deck was lovely for viewing the spectacular views.

Lovely Orcas View Home

Beautiful traditional home for family get-togethers near Eastsound. The furnishings and decor are lovely and make the generously sized rooms feel warm and cozy. For our group of nine, there was plenty of comfortable seating indoors and outside for eating and lounging. The deck is fantastic and we loved the views and just hanging out there. Also, the kids really enjoyed the games. It's a great house for mixed ages. The kitchen is also terrific - spacious and well-provisioned.

The house was perfect for 6 older adults. Great location. Well equipped kitchen and well equipped house. Beautiful view. Nice wrap around porch. Communication from the company could have been better, but we were finally answered and check-in was easy. Would rent the house again.

Beautiful property with gorgeous views of the water. The house is spacious and comfortable and is a great place for a gathering of friends and family. The location was great, but a few minutes from town. Have already recommended the house to several friends and will likely return myself.

Beautiful Experience

We were very impressed with the beauty of this home, both inside and out. It was centrally located on the island, so we easily ventured from one end of it to the other. The view from the balcony was stunning. We enjoyed many sunsets out there. The bedrooms were spacious and nicely decorated and the kitchen well equipped. The entertainment system was great and easy to use. An altogether great vacation retreat.

Good property but management is absent

This is a great property, but Vacasa is not doing them any favors. We had water pressure issues throughout our stay, had big stains on the main couch and there was trash from a previous stay in some of the cans. We noted this to the property manager and all we got were generic messages with no help. Unfortunate because the property itself is great.

Beautiful and tranquil spot in East Sound on Orcas Island

What a great property... nestled in a woodsy setting with an amazing view of East Sound and gorgeous sunsets. We loved the wrap around deck/porch, the open kitchen, and the spacious bedrooms. Wonderful place, I highly recommend it for families and group gatherings.
