Cute house with a great location

Location was very convenient to all the beaches and hiking! 4 stars for the location and price compared to other options, but be aware that the amenities are pretty basic. The house was adequately sized for our family of four but teens found the beds very small. (Room w 2 twins is clearly geared towards littles, w kitschy Tinkerbell lamps.) As others mentioned, bathroom repairs are needed (instead of fixing the running toilet, they just removed the flusher entirely, plus we noted a few other things that needed repair). Heat system took hours to get house to a comfortable temperature, but worked just fine after that. Dishware and utensils were minimal and mostly not microwave safe; also no dishwasher (not a problem for us on our short stay, but might be for some.) For those with chemical sensitivities, be sure to check with management regarding cleaning—housekeeping at this property used very heavy fragrance spray throughout the house.

we are very disappointed with our stay. As soon as we arrived, there was a strong smell of humidity inside. The shower curtain was covered in black mold. We saw several croquerelles inside horrible, disgusting. We had to take great precautions not to bring any back in our luggage. We contacted VACASA several times to let them know of our we are very disappointed with our stay. As soon as we arrived, there was a strong smell of humidity inside. Nice place but uncomfortable stay

Five of my friends stayed here for a friend’s wedding in cape cod. The place itself was cute but we arrived to a half cleaned house. It didn’t look like it was vacuumed at all with crumbs on the couch and floor. There were bugs that someone must’ve killed left on the shower walls and a used soap in the corner. We also had a big problem with bugs. I understand it’s summer and the location of the house is in a woodsy area, but having to check the sheets every night and check each other’s body made our stay very uncomfortable. We found multiple ticks on each other’s shirts and one even got on my back that we had to remove. I also found small spiders in 2 of the bedrooms. The morning of check-out my friend found a spider bite on her wrist. I will say the property manager was very helpful and prompt- she sent out cleaners and pest control the next morning. Even the cleaners apologized for how dirty the house was. The pest control guy couldn’t treat the house inside since our stay was only 4 days and we had a dog so he sprayed just the perimeter. Overall, I’m disappointed with our stay here and wish we were more comfortable

Solid place to stay

Good place to stay near the cape if you aren’t looking for anything too crazy. Good common area, plenty of room to sleep four or five people. The house is very compact so noise travels very easily. Not great if you have people who like to sleep in and others that don’t. Aside from that, no major issues.

Cozy cottage but needs upgrades

When we checked in we called about the gas not being on and were told a local person would call us back but no one did. Also after checkout we called because we left a pair of shoes behind and were told someone would get back to us but it has been a week and no one has. The silverware and utensils need upgrading. Just a few pieces, not matching, and dirty. There is a big soap scum stain in the shower. And the couch covers are very dirty. But the upstairs bed in the loft was very comfortable.

Lovely location but poorly maintained property

Close to Bike trail and National Cape Cod coast access. We are two retirees and enjoyed the privacy of the house location. Pity the owners cannot maintain the property so 4 guests can sit down at the breakfast buffet table. Hang a towel on the upstairs bathroom and close bathroom cabinets.

Very Comfy

We were pleased with the cleanliness of the house, and the private setting. After riding about 50 miles most of the 4 days we were there, it was so inviting to get back "home". I can't rate the kitchen, but for our purposes, it was fine. All we had there was our cereal and coffee in the morning and enjoyed good dinners at several Cape restaurants.

Excellent, clean, simple, and well located

We (family of 5) were delighted by this house in the woods. Everything we needed was there, and it was a terrific launching-off point for the National Seashore and other outer Cape outings. It was clean, simple, and easy. Bravo. (Note that you won't have a dishwasher!)

Great location but house not great for 6-8 people

The house was in a great location. We could easily bike to Coast Guard Beach and Nauset Light Beach with most of the ride on the bike path .It was set back from the road so it was quiet but very close to Route 6. Just minutes from the house there were great stores - a sandwich place, fish market, and two ice cream stores. Also, super close to challenging mini-golf at Arnolds. The downside was the house itself. It is really not set up for 6-8 people if you plan on cooking and/or eating in. The kitchen was tiny, not super well-stocked and had only two stools by the island with with no separate eating area. There was no way to eat together except outside and it was too buggy to do that in the evening. We ended up finding two stools in the basement, and having 4 people around the island and two ate sitting on couches. The house was clean, beds were comfortable (queen bed a bit firm). Outdoor shower was nice.

The house is not very roomy. No place inside from more than three to eat together. Cleaning wasn't great. Especially kitchen. Some oddities - we received dishwasher tablets but there is no dishwasher, there were lots of DVD movies but no player...
