Peaceful, comfortable Cape Cod house close to the shore

  • We love our house. We have been going to this house on the Cape for 35 years and would like to share it with you. Located on a quiet, shady, sand road. Great for relaxing, reading, listening to quiet music, playing croquet, picnicking, etc. When you do decide to venture out, there are lots of close options such as the National Seashore beaches, the bay beaches, the Massachusetts Audubon Society trails, the Cape Cod Rail Trail, hiking trails, shopping, miniature golf, the local drive-in movie, a Cape Cod Baseball game and lots more. Close to the regional high school and lower cape conference centers.

    This single-story house has two bedrooms, one bathroom, a living room, kitchen and a family room/dining area. The kitchen is fully-equipped and has a dishwasher. There is a washing machine and dryer in the basement. An outdoor shower and a detached garage are helpful additions. For hot summer days, the house has central air conditioning.

    At the bay beach, a half mile away and a nice after-dinner walk, the sunsets are spectacular. Each one is unique and it's a treat to watch the sun set over the water. Also, if you are up early enough, you can drive or bike over to the National Seashore and watch the sun rise over the ocean and then head to the local coffee shop for your morning coffee.

    Great for visiting therapy and education professionals attending Eastham summer symposia.

Perfect Beach Vacation

We want to thank Beth for allowing us to stay at the perfect Cape house. A beautiful updated kitchen, a nice family room and the perfect sunroom to relax with our morning coffee, a book or a family game night! We had the most wonderful time in this perfect house!

Lovely house close to the beach

Great place to stay, lots of extras provided for your trip to the beach - even a warm outdoor shower! A bit Difficult to find initially as it is down a dirt track but easy to access after you’ve found it.

Location is just perfect, near public beach and not too far from National Seashore beaches. House was super-clean and had all we needed. Even had the chance to see a tortoise on the porch on the first day. Recommended !

Eastham/Wellfleet - Lovely private house

Lovely house, nicely renovated kitchen and bath, very comfortable for our family. Walkable to Sunken Meadow Beach for beautiful sunsets. Easy drives to ocean beaches, lobster pounds, and the drive-in! Beth was the perfect host. Will look forward to another visit.

Great house, good location, well stocked, even has bikes, some beach stuff and washer/dryer

Had a great time with my family. The Bay is a short walk away, the National Seashore is less than a 5 minute drive, great resteraunts and drive in movie theater near by. You can bike to resteraunts but the roads are narrow. It is a half hour from P-Town and about a half hour from Chatham.

House was very clean. The house has updated kitchen and bathroom and adds to the charm. Easy walk to the beach where beautiful sunsets can be watched. We had some rainy days and having a large table to work on puzzles was great we bought our own but there are some challenging ones there and all pieces counted for!! So many beaches close by

Cutest bungalow

Loved the location, perfectly in between Chatham and Provincetown and short drive to beautiful beach and lighthouse. The house is very clean and felt very safe. Does not come with any bedsheets or linens, which is kind of a bummer when you’re flying in from afar and trying to pack light but otherwise no complaints!

We’ve been here twice and plan to come again. Good location, well stocked kitchen, kid and adult bikes, beach toys/inner tubes, and A/C. We can spread out in the different rooms. We could use the outdoor shower a bit after checkout to extend time in the water. Easy walk or bike ride to the beach for sunsets.

Weekend wedding

The night we arrived it was pouring rain and it was pitch black so couldn’t see the back door which was to be used to get into the house. Fortunately we stayed with a relative that night because we couldn’t get into the rental. Beth was kind enough to refund our first night’s stay. We greatly appreciated her kindness. We felt it was the perfect location for our weekend. The bed was comfortable and we had plenty of space.

wish we could have stayed longer

Nice newly renovated open kitchen and bathroom. Great town for the best of National Seashore beaches. We loved the enclosed porch and playing Scrabble. Even spent some time in the yard playing croquet and we grilled out back- which is exciting for city apartment dwellers like us. I like that the TV is very small and old which encourages other activities. Wi-fi is solid. thanks Beth!

Quaint Beach Cottage

This beach cottage was just as charming and cozy as my husband and I had anticipated as we dreamed of our first trip to the Northeast and specifically Cape Cod. The home was clean and the host was so gracious and responsive. One thing I would recommend is to ensure you request the general house information document from the host prior to your departure. This document had a lot of key information about the home and guest expectations that I wish I had requested sooner. Otherwise, such a lovely home and gracious host!

VRBO at Eaast Chatham

The property was very clean. Kitchen was updated and had all we required. A/C unit was noisy and kept coming on and off like it just wouldn't start. Had to turn it off at night. The area lost power our last night from 5-8pm and then again from 10pm to 8am. The power company Eversource in that area is not very good. Neighborhood was quiet. Those we talked to were very nice. Pretty good location overall.

Pleasant and spacious

Overall very nice house and enjoyable stay. I didn't see the washer and dryer so assumed there was not one until I read through the paperwork, it was a bit of detective work to find the key and unlock the "trap" doors outside of the house leading to the basement, and steep steps going down. Only 1 roll of toilet paper in the house.

Home away from home

The quintessential New Englander salt box cape-style home was a peaceful respite only a short skip to plenty of beaches. We booked here because you never know what Mother Nature would bring and wanted to relax in a place with all the comforts of home and plenty of good music, board games, books, etc. to enjoy should the weather take a turn for the worse. However, the weather was spectacular and we spent little time in the home, but when we did, we had all we needed for hearty cooking on site and LOTS of great suggestions from the host to make our trip one of the most memorable vacations we've had as a family of three. We'd definitely return. Thanks to our hosts for making our stay feel like home!
