This is our third year renting this house and it never disappoints! It’s perfect for the whole family - big enough that we’re not on top of each other and something for everyone to do. The game room and hot tub are always a big hit and the little touches around the house are fantastic!

Perfect Family Getaway!!

What an absolutely perfect home for a family vacation! We had so much space to spread out across four levels, yet plenty of inviting spots to gather together. The huge game room on the second level became our go-to fun zone, while the main-level living room and the basement rec room—complete with a full kitchen—offered even more options for relaxing and entertaining.But the true showstopper? The backyard. The large pool was the ideal temperature with the perfect balance of deep and shallow ends. Our adult children especially loved the outdoor bar with TV—mornings spent working on laptops over coffee, and afternoons and evenings filled with laughter and conversation. The firepit and fireplace areas were wonderful for cozy nights, and the convenient outdoor bath and shower made life so much easier, especially with the grandkids.The well-equipped kitchen and spacious dining areas made mealtimes a breeze, and the peaceful lemonade porch became our favorite place to unwind.This is a beautiful home in a stunning location—thoughtfully designed for comfort, fun, and making memories. We would enthusiastically recommend it to anyone and are already considering rebooking for another stay!

We had a wonderful family holiday in East Haddam, CT. The family enjoyed the gathering space, pool and hot tub. The spacious home had the necessary amenities especially the fully stocked kitchen for our two evenings of birthday celebrations, spa night and our daughter's engagement. We especially appreciated the attention to details like plenty of towels as well as beach towels, personal toiletries and plentiful toilet paper in each of the bathrooms. Debbie is responsive and clearly communicated promptly. We hope to return next summer!

We had such a wonderful time in East Haddam. The house is unique and wonderful. It was a perfect place for everyone with ages ranging 7-70 staying all together. It is an easy drive for day trips around the area and exploring the history in the local area. Highly recommend!

Perfect Family Retreat with Endless Entertainment!

We recently stayed in this home for a family retreat and it exceeded all our expectations! The house had a fantastic game room and plenty of bedrooms to choose from, making it perfect for our family. It was well stocked with everything we needed to support our early holiday celebration. The house was as depicted and the hosts provided coffee and a fully stocked cabinet of cooking supplies, along with plenty of glasses, dishes, and cooking utensils. There was nothing we needed that we couldn’t find.There was also plenty of room to spread out, with a cozy living area off the kitchen and a great game room on the second floor featuring a big TV and comfortable couch. We had a blast playing pool, foosball, ping pong, and Pac-Man, and there were many board games to choose from as well. The numerous bathrooms meant there was never any waiting.Although it was winter and we couldn’t use the amazing pool, we thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub. The three-car garage was incredibly handy as it snowed and was very cold outside. Debbie and Sean, the hosts, were very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed.We also took day trips to Mystic, Mohegan Sun, and the nearby Gillette Castle. There is plenty to do both inside and outside the house. Overall, we had an unforgettable stay and highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a perfect family retreat!

Great friends get away!

We stayed for our annual Columbus Day weekend away with a group of 9 friends. The house was very comfortable and we had plenty of space. We really enjoyed the game room in the evenings - all the games were in excellent condition and everything was in working order (which has not usually been the case at other vacation rentals we have been to). We were lucky enough to have beatiful fall weather all weekend, so we could enjoy the lovely back yard. We made use of the gas grill, watch a playoff game on the big screen TV behind the outdoor bar, and sat around a roaring fire in the outdoor fireplace at night. We did have an issue with refrigerator, but the host was responsive. It wasn't able to be fixed during our stay, but luckily the house has a 2nd full size refrigerator in the basement. It was a little inconvenient, but we made do and the host was communicative and apologetic. We had a great weekend and hope to go back in the summer so we can use the beautiful pool!

Beautiful house and responsive owners

We did a guys golf weekend and the house was excellent. Very clean, amazing back patio area with pool, hot tub, and tiki bar. Owners were very responsive. Would highly recommend this house!

Wonderful, long weekend!

We had a wonderful stay here over a long weekend. The house was amazing and just what we needed for three families-plenty of beds, living areas, and outdoor space to do things together but also have a little space if one needed it. We wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the pool and do more things in the surrounding area though we did make it to the castle (so cool!) and the train ride. Communication was also great and speedy. Highly recommend this spot-we are hoping to go back next year for sure!

Amazing Vacation

We are long time vacation renters hosting our children and grandchildren for summer vacations. All agree this is the best house with everything for the adults and four teenagers! There are so many places to enjoy; pool area, game room, porches, kitchen even some lively poker games. We were there during an extreme heat wave and the central air made for very comfortable sleeping. The pictures and overview of this listing reflect why it is so popular the perfect place for friends and family to gather. Thank you Deb and Sean. We are already planning our 2025 return. .
