« The rooms were very clean & comfortable. Breakfast was great. My only complaint would be the elevators. There were 2 but only one was working. It was very slow. We were there for a soccer tournament in the area so there were a lot of kids & families staying there. One elevator was not sufficient. »

« Everything was great except the one elevator was a bit scary. If there was more than 3 people on it at once, the door wouldn't open once you got to the 1st floor and someone would have to hit the 1st floor button again for it to open. Also, the pool was cold and slimy. We were told it was heated but it definitely was not. The stairs in the pool were slimy and slippery along with inside the pool on the floor »

« This disgusting dirty hotel (can't really call it that!) is a disgrace! Looks like the rugs haven't been cleaned in years! No plastic cups in the bathroom to use and when asking the clerk at the desk he couldn't find any anywhere! The idea of a light breakfast is a joke! The soda machine takes your money but didn't dispense any soda! Called a studio with a kitchen, but no plates, silverware, pots or pans or anything to use or cook with! I would never recommend this place to anyone! »

« Room was okay, but bed was terrible. It needs to be changed. The mattress was uneven and felt very uncomfortable. »

« The property smelled and the tv did not work. I asked for a single bed and they gave me a room with two beds, then told me if I used the other bed they would charge me $25. The room had bugs and flys.. we slept with the lights on, but it was the only place available out of town.. HORRIBLE AND NASTY.. I am itching just thinking about it! »

« The Bookhouse is a wonderful concept! Prioritizing books, making them accessible everywhere, is delightful. There were adventurous and playful touches, including the secret hide-away on the first floor, behind a bookcase. Housing a hotel in a very old house is another terrific choice. The restoration process is clearly in progress; it's understandable that it's a long-term project. Drawbacks were largely fixable. Whatever scent is used in the house, apparent on the threshold, overwhelming...
