'Holiday Inn in Dumfries is goed bevallen. Prima hotel, maar niet heel bijzonder. Ontbijt en kamer was ok. Locatie is erg mooi, op een universiteitscampus. Helaas past de aanbouw van het hotel hier niet echt bij. Er waren nog wel wat verbeterpunten. We hadden voor 4 personen gereserveerd. In de kamer was het reservebed wel klaar gemaakt, maar verder ontbraken nog wat dingen (handdoek, beker) voor de extra personen. Verder was het extra bed doorgezakt. '

'After waking up in the morning the room and our clothes felt a bit dampy. Maybe because the room is located in the cellar. It had good coffee and tea facilities. The doorlock of the shared bathroom was loose / not working well. By closing the door from the outside and nobody was inside the door went locked. For tall people the ceiling of the bathroom could be to low. We had a good breakfast and the staff was very helpful.'

'foute ontvangst, erg lang moeten wachten voordat we eindelijk in onze kamer konden, chaos overal, de manager zei dat t druk was, hoogseizoen, of we daar begrip voor konden hebben. eigenlijk niet, we betalen voor de kamer, maandenlang is bekend dat we komen, dat is de job als je in het hotelwezen werkt. Manager pakte het totaal verkeerd aan, ging met ons discussieren, onnnodig! hotel was verder prima, keuken ook. De receptioniste Nicole en de waitress uit Lockerbie waren erg proffesioneel...

'I was warmly welcomed to this B&B. It is a beautiful house set in extensive grounds. From my window I had lovely views of the garden and beyond. The room was beautifully decorated and the bedding was soft and comfortable. With the warmth of the welcome and the excellent breakfast I would agree this is an excellent 4* and worthy of its great reviews.'
