Hotelresorts in Porters Ski Area

'We stayed 1 night, we were passing through (off season). Few guests, all quiet, morning breakfast alright, price was fair. Shower and restrooms adequate with soap and plenty of hot water, towels provided in good condition. The only issue i had was that this lodge was very far from the road, up a gravel road with no guard rails at all. Either it was not disclosed or i didnt find it on the website. Very scary getting up to the lodge after sunset, in the dark, dodging rabbits left and right.'

'Lovely spacious warm villa with amazing views'

'The room was spacious and charming, with a heated bed that made our stay extra cozy. The amenities were just right, and we really appreciated the fresh milk provided. The kitchen area was clean, and the location was fantastic. Overall, a lovely place to stay, and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience!'

'Lovely staff, great location. The lift was a bit scary! Nice comfy beds.'

'The TV was good we could sign in with our own device. The couch and seating in the lounge was uncomfortable and inadequate. The facilities were clean ansd tidy and the staff were friendly and helpful'

'Excellent value and all you need. Quiet location and close to Lake Pearson, The Bealey and Arthurs Pass. Great host'

'Great location.'

'The big thing is hotel rooms were just rooms. No TVs, or private bathrooms. Bathrooms including sinks, toilet and shower are community. However, the price is less than half of a normal hotel room. Great for broke college or young people.'

'The room was OK but the sign outside said B&B. Could not find any breakfast. Don't know if it was included in the booking. No-one around. Bar was unattended. We saw someone drift in and out of the complex but he was not very helpful. The only time we got to speak to him was to see if we could do an early check-in, but no, the door is locked until 2pm. We were 30mins early. Can't really say the service was good, but the room was OK.'

'Matig motel, wel veel ruimte, maar gedateerde inrichting en niet goed onderhouden. Wel redelijk schoon, maar niet verzorgd, onpersoonlijk.'

'It was basic but ok. Could not get the tv to go'

'Great communication, peaceful'

'The unit was adequate for our overnight stay. Had everything we required close to town center & ski fields albeit in a small space.Access was a little tricky at night, getting bags up the stairs and through 2 key pad controlled doors.Communication with owner was easy & Selwyn was extremely helpful.'

'This is a modern, well equipped cottage. Our host, Janette, was friendly and informative. The property is small farm with wandering chooks and even a couple of guinea fowl. It's conveniently located - only 6km from Oxford. There is a great woodburner fire for the cool weather. The extremely well equipped kitchen means self catering is very easy.'

'The apartment was a great overnight stay in a resort with 2 bedrooms for the 3 of us. It was an upstairs apartment so we had some nice views to watch the sunset from the balcony. A handy place to stay for skiing at Mt Hutt. The living area was suitable for us with 2 couches and a dining area. The kitchen was well equipped with tea, coffee, sugar as well as some handy basics like salt, pepper and oil and a few other handy items. We all wished we could've had another nights stay.
