« Place is clean and nice. Has a good location - close to the grocery store, observatory and short drive to the church. However, unit is not as described and pictures not fully show how it really looks. First, it’s not private, well it’s hotel room with kitchenette and bathroom but there are more units in this building and hall. It’s not private because it’s entrance door are partially glass door. View from this particular room is on the parking and trash bins. It’s also on the ground level so...

« After a long journey, arrived to a room that had not been cleaned from last guests. Called owner to complain and he offered us the room next door which was prepared fro new guests. We accepted but felt the room wasn’t as clean as it should be. We asked for a discount but was refused. I felt it was overpriced. »

« Very clean. There is a tiny view of the lake and you are one house off the main road so it’s noisy on the deck. The mountains are pretty but, Looks much more like there is a big view than there is. »

« The only thing we had problem we encountered was no written instructions how to operate the 2 in 1 washer/dryer. We washed our clothes without problems. But, couldn’t figure out how to operate the “dryer” mode. We had to go look for a laundry mat to dry our clothes. »

« It was the best in the town centre! Close to everywhere! Easy parking! Beautiful room and scenery! Worth money! »

« Hi GuysHi GuysI am a little disappointed in Bookabach. Yesterday One of my guides was transferring a group of 13 guests through to Tekapo for an overnight. Unfortunately 10 kilometres south of the town there was a fatal accident where one person was killed. I Immediately got in touch with Lulu to let her know the situation as there was no other route to get to Tekapo. My guide had to back track to Twizel and book all of his guests and himself into Distinction hotel.Lulu informed me that there...

« Good location. Home was different than most we have stayed at in NZ. Very charming but needs better attention to detail and more organization in the home. Would recommend but know you’re staying in an older different styled home »

« Good communication with host, clear instructions for contactless entry. Modern apartment with a good kitchen and washing machine, comfortable bed. However the apartment is a bit run down with damage to the walls from furniture, the floor mat in the lounge is stained, there is mould in the shower, weeds and cigarette butts in the garden. If these were fixed, I would rate this property as a 5/5. The location was good, a quiet complex, deficated parking and a nice little outdoor area. »

« This room is tiny. The large window/sliding door lets in all the heat and there is no A/C to cool it off, just and under-powered fan to blow the hot air around. You can’t leave the door or wi Dow open as the insects flock in. The ensuite is fine but the shower is tight. The walls are thin so unfortunately you hear all the movement from next door. »

« Great view and nice tidy room! »
