« Great property for our 2 night stay. Hobbiton around 20 minutes away by car. Plenty of restaurants in nearby Matamata. We particularly liked The Osteria recommended by Kylie our host. « The cottage was perfect for our overnight needs. The kitchen was modern, clean and well-stocked. The bedrooms were comfortable and we loved eating a home-cooked meal on the deck. The night bugs were out when the sun went down so we didn’t spend time on the porch after dinner. The water views were lovely - we just wish we had more time to swim! « Excellent cozy holiday house. Very clean with all things present that were needed for an accomodation house. Comfortable beds with loads of warm duvets and spare blankets for the cold location mid winter. Extremely effective fireplace with exceptional firewood making warming the house very easy. Both my 9year old daughter and I very much enjoyed the brilliant range of kids books. Thanks loads Tracey and Steve. Was great getaway retreat to base from. Highly recommended. « We arrived at this cute home after 24 hours of travel. We were so exhausted and were going to go out to dinner but had zero energy. We realized the owner had left us some staple groceries including a loaf of bread, and jelly. I had packed a tub of peanut butter and some chips in my luggage so we had the best PBJs and relaxed! Bonus there was even a bottle of wine in the fridge :) The view around the back was spectacular. »
