'Very impressed with our stay. Even though it is very retro looking, lots of modern touches to it. It was warm with the heater going and it held the heat well. The gaps between the bannisters were a little wide and my almost 5 year old could easily sneak through them, which was a worry upstairs. Apart from that, very comfortable stay and cosy on a winters night. Great communication from the owner too.'

'This is a great location in Tairua. We had the two bedroom upstairs villa which is a little dated. Huge main bedroom and ensuite. The second bedroom was combined with a lounge so nowhere really to sit for a chat without being in with the kids. The kitchen was really just a couple of cupboards and a bar fridge. But all was very clean, beds comfortable, great location. The managers were lovely. We will stay again.'

'We've stayed here before so knew it was basic and roomy. The old curtains have been replaced and it was pretty clean. Linens were comfortable. The space heater was dated but worked. Cute place, overall needs some love, attention and definitely needs updating. It could be adorable. We missed the donkeys on the roof this time.'

'This is the second time we have stayed here, as it’s perfect for our family get togethers. We had 3x family groups accommodated with plenty of space inside, good mix of sleeping options, good kitchen and play area outside for kids. Walking distance to lake and town.
