'We had a lovely stay in this charming cabin, straight out of a storybook, tucked away in the forest by the lake. It felt almost too good to be true—cozy and well-equipped with all the comforts one could need, yet surrounded by breathtaking nature. Truly an introvert's dream.'

'Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt in Yiltornio. Die Vermieter waren super nett und haben uns viel unternommen. (Eisangeln, Eisskulpuren gebaut..) Die Unterkunft liegt sehr ruhig an einem See. Zum herunterkommen und entspannen ist es einfach super. wir kommen gerne wieder. VIELEN DANK für die super Zeit bei euch, dass ihr uns soviel gezeigt habt. Es war einer der besten Urlaube.'

Ein besonderes Highlight war das Frühstück: Der Kühlschrank wurde täglich mit allem Nötigen bestückt, sodass es uns an nichts fehlte. Als besonderes Glück konnten wir direkt vor dem Haus die atemberaubenden Nordlichter bewundern – ein unvergessliches Erlebnis! Wir...

'Ha sido una experiencia estupenda. El patrón ha sido muy servicial y me ha servido como guía e información sobre la vida y cultura del lugar. Además la casa está en un sitio aislado en medio de la naturaleza y he podido disfrutar del bosque y de la nieve incluso desde la ventana de las habitaciones. Recomendable para amantes de la naturaleza. '

'Nice apartment just outside centre. Had all essentials in there, was clean and modern. Would recommend. 5-10 minute walk from 2 supermarkets. Only issue was getting in initially, the code had changed but we weren’t informed but was all resolved quickly. '

'We didn't use the 2nd Bedroom, but there were toys for the kids. It didn't have a microwave, but they may be expected for Rovaniemi. We are from the US and not familiar with the culture. This apartment is definitely not in the downtown area, but we had a car, and I think there is bus stop relatively close.'

"Hotel Aakenus has a good location , friendly and helpful staff . Rooms are basic but clean . Bathroom however is under average and urgently in need of renovation. With only 1,5 sqm including shower , toilet and sink it is impossible to keep the bathroom dry and properly shower. Breakfast is good , some fresh bread , eggs , yoghurt and fruit . For a short layover the hotel is acceptable but definitely overpriced. For these standards a budget of 100-130 euro per night would be fine but no 270-300 euro per night. I would give the hotel a 2,5 - 3 star overall . "
