Room was right by the train station, with noise and vibration from passing trains until midnight, and again from around five a.m., disturbing sleep both at night and early morning. Shower only ran hot, with no cold water to mix in, making it unusable. Overall, a poor experience. would not recommend. Staff really need to look after their service standards better. »

« The Lion Inn was a last minute booking but it did not disappoint. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The food was served hot. The breakfast was cooked to order and was a great welsh breakfast. The rooms were cosy but with a boutique hotel theme. Public areas were clean there was parking available with tables outside. The village was lovely too and the location made easy access to Montgomery and Welshpool. A great base for people touring that area. Wish we could have booked for...

« The temperature in my room was 17° and never went above 18° despite my request. So a fan was snoring all night. The shower was cold too. and the light was dim at night. I was afraid of crossing a polar bear! Location is great if you attend an event at Telford International. »

The hotel is noticeably dated and appears to be in need of a comprehensive refurbishment. Some of the bathroom fittings showed signs of significant wear and tear, with rust visible on the towel rail and the soap dispenser holder in the shower.
