'We were celebrating my wife’s 70th birthday, and wanted comfortable and special accommodation for family members and friends. We also wanted to be able to enjoy a grand meal together for up to 14 of us. Compton House was perfect for us - a very unusual and lovely property. Our host was very responsive and very helpful in every way. Thank you so much Patricia, we really enjoyed our stay in your beautiful house.'

'We had a great time at the house. The property is beautiful and well kept! We were welcomed with open arms and very helpful with everything. We had one person in a wheelchair and everything was taken care of. We would like to come here again!'

'The property was very well equipped & in a lovely position on the site. It was very peaceful. The couple of queries we had were immediately resolved by the reception staff. If I was pushed to have a slight negative comment it would be that there were no instruction booklets for the kitchen appliances. '

' We had a great time at the resort, the place was ideally situated for everything we wanted to do. The lodge was spacious and had all what we needed and the spa area also had all the amenities for anything you wanted to do. The staff were very pleasant and helpful and the food was very good. My only gripe was that in the outside play area for the children, there was a football area to close to the childrens play area and the goal was that end, so at times the ball was going into the play area...

'We had a good time in Nether Stowey, although the cottage was a little bit smaller than we thought (we think that below there is not enough space for 5). The 2nd floor was great, with our own bath room, but our adult children, who slept on the 1st floor, had some sleeping problems with the springs in the matrasses.
