'My family and I had a fantastic time staying at the Weir House. Our only regret was that we could only stay one. From the patio of the house, we could hear the rapids of the river and surrounded by verdant forest. Staying here truly was a highlight of our Sri Lanka trip. Mr. Maha, the manager was so very helpful, including assisting us to book a hotel in Kandi when it turned out that the place we originally booked was a huge disappointment. He even arranged 2 tuk tuks to take us to the...

'This is an absolute gem for anybody wishing to be pampered and catered for beyond your expectations, eat 5-star meals, and relax! What an amazing place..we will most certainly return!!!!'

'Lovely staff and service'

'Nice peaceful location with Good views . Staff is very helpful'

'Room was large and beds very comfortable. Hot water ran out in the morning so cold shower for friend. Food was varied and tasty at breakfast and evening meal. Lovely bar serving a variety of drinks and cocktails. Staff very friendly and helpful'

'Such a relaxing atmosphere. The staff was amazing, friendly and accommodating in all aspects of our stay. We will be back and recommend to others. The grounds and surrounding area are so beautiful. Flora and fauna abound.'

'The views over the valley, the tea plantations and agricultural land are fantastic. The villa is set up on a hillside, about 3km out of town. It takes approximately a 10 min tuk tuk drive into town. The staff are absolutely lovely and extremely helpful. The hotel is beautifully presented, mostly made in wood and looking very smart. The room and bathroom were large, clean and well presented. The whole place is beautiful an dis surrounded by beautiful countryside. '

'Good spot for a night on the way— simple and clean, with lovely warm service. Probably a bit overpriced but a solid, good option. Food was delicious as well and they accommodated all of our needs.'

'I had a nice stay, but to be honest I was expecting more from a property of this standard. The room was lovely and the bed very comfortable, however the sheets, towels and dressing gown were pilled, the curtains didn't go to the end of the window, and a cracked tile in the bathroom had been badly repaired. I also found it difficult to mix the taps in the shower to get the right temperature and there were no instructions on how to operate the heater. All in all I didn't feel the quality of the...

'When we arrived at the hotel we were told that they had not received our reservation and no down payment was made. As the hotel was full, we had to look at an alternative. so it is advisable to contact the hotel even if your reservation is confirmed by Expedia. '
