'Amazing from start to finish - I honestly do not understand why this hotel has received some negative reviews. The staff was amazing - from check-in to restaurant to golf shop. The facilities at the hotel are superb - an amazing outdoor pool, 24-hour gym, indoor spa facilities and treatments, hairdresser, golf course and golf shop and fabulous rooms! 'Our stay was amazing! We were in and out, staying just one night, but loved our stay at The Whale on Main. Thomas was an amazing host, he walked us through where to go in town and what to see. And as we were leaving, he helped us plan the path we should take to our next destination. He even printed out a map for us that included all the stops! I would absolutely recommend staying here for a wonderful visit to Hermanus.'
