« The hotel had been abandoned. We managed to check-in but there have been no staff onsite since. A local has told us that the Indian company that owns the hotel has not paid the local staff wages and they have been forced to leave. The hotel is filthy, there is literally no staff anywhere to be seen. »

« We really enjoyed our time at PodBay, we used the pool lots and the sun loungers. It is right on the beach so if you want a swim in the waves you can just walk out to them or stay by the pool. « There was a problem with our reservation as apparently hotels.com bookings do not transfer over to the hotels system and therefore they had no record of our booking. This meant that they did not have the rooms that we had booked available. The accommodation borders a long, beautiful beach that leads you to the Surf paradise. Lovely outdoor shower in our cabana. Worked well with the fan mosquito net. « Almost a year since our last visit to this magnificent beach house. Such a glorious setting with a great little pool surrounded by so many tall palm trees all fenced off from the deserted beach at the edge of the property. This hotel is really quiet and peaceful taking only a maximum of eight guests at any one time. Lovely atmosphere and staff are very accommodating and friendly. Loved their Sri Lankan meals. It’s not 5 star hotel but the staff make up for it. »
