'Room was clean and satisfactory for a short stay. '

'We stayed for one night with smaller kids. We didn’t have a shower curtain upon arrival but the front office was quick to get us one. The pool water was freezing. The staff said they turned the heater on but by the time we left it was still cold. Floors were a little dirty in the room, ice machine was down, bed was comfortable, and breakfast was decent! We would stay here again and maybe call before to have the pool heater turned on prior to the stay.'

'Cute, cozy cabin with a fully equipped kitchen and a large outdoor space for entertaining or relaxing by the lake and fire. Note that there’s no TV. WiFi was good for us. Lots of windows to let natural light in. We had a good time and will certainly be back!'

'Had a great time staying here with my son on our kayak fishing trip. Excellent communication and flexibility for an early check in. Nice deck area and fire pit to add to the lake house ambiance!'

'The house had everything we our family of 5 needed. Stayed one night but would have been happy to stay there for 3-4 days. Family loved the nostalgic decor.Didn’t bother us but only one tv in the house. Instead of watching tv, family played board and card games, great time. '

'Good start. Needs bathroom remodel and or 1/2 bath upstairs. Master bedroom door could not be closed maybe needs new hardware. Needs sitting bench in master bedroom for putting on shoes. Matress in double bed needs to be replaced is uncomfortable. More towel racks. Otherwise great kitchen, wifi and living area Thank you!'

'What a cute, welcoming home on a beautiful property! We so enjoyed the very clean, cozy spaces in this beautifully decorated home. Everything about our stay was easy and smooth. I would recommend this home to anyone with a reason to stay in Roanoke! We also enjoyed dinner in town. If we weren't busy with other activities, it would have been fun to explore Roanoke more!'

'Beautiful home! Gorgeous deck. Nicely stocked. Host was great with communication. This home has fantastic views of Shriner lake. The furniture and decor are lovely and classy. We were a bit disappointed to not be able to Use the fire pit because the dock was piled up next to it. That was something we were looking forward to and had purchased s’more ingredients. If traveling with small children bring 2 gates. There are some dangerous stairs. Also - heads up - the master bedroom...

'This is such a lovely property right on the lake. We loved the large patio and took advantage of the firebowl in the evenings. We also appreciated being able to have our doggies with us. We also like that it's close to two golf courses we enjoy playing. '

'We thoroughly enjoy our mid-week stay on Big Barbee, with a small group of friends & family. We rented a pontoon from Socks Marina, for early morning fishing at Barbee & Irish Lake. The local restaurants were within walking distance. Thank you so much!'
