« San Damiano was a very nice retreat. We could tell the staff does everything possible to be responsive and ensure a good stay. The room was very clean, comfortable beds and pillows and just the right size. The fridge, microwave and stove are all new and we had all the utensils we needed. Good fireplace. The back area is very scenic. But be CAREFUL. Remember the back is a cliff. Our dog leaped off the cliff chasing a squirrel and plummeted about 200 feet. He's alive but in bad shape. The...

« Great little getaway! If you’re looking for a quiet relaxing weekend this is definitely it. Pictures don’t do this place justice, and everything is extremely well taken care of and maintained. Make sure to bring your fishing pole and swimming gear, the clean pond is ideal for both. Traveled here with my wife and our two boys, 10yo and 5mo, and it was just right for us. We’ll be back, thanks for an amazing stay! »

« Our family of 4 fit perfectly here. We had everything we needed and the host was so nice and responsive. We fished off the dock for a little catch and release, our youngest son loved it. Very quiet and secluded. Just what we were looking for. »

« Property was misrepresented. Was supposed to be 2 bedroom 2 bath handicapped accessible with ramp. They assigned us a one room 2 bed no ramp not handicapped accessible. We called after arrival then the host did not respond to 2 phone calls and a text message. When they finally got back to us they said they were sorry they assigned the wrong cabin to us. I asked for full refund called VRBO and asked for help with this. Now Verbo wants us to fight for our refund instead of just taking care of it. »

« We had such an awesome stay at the Shawnee Apple Shack. It was so cute, clean, and had everything that we needed! There was plenty to do in the Southern Illinois area for the weekend. We definitely recommend staying there and would love to come back sometime! »

« Parking is not that great if you bring a boat and have a trailer. The driveway is very steep and narrow. The place was very clean inside, but the outside could have used some work. Just looked like spring clean up hadn't happened here yet. »
