'The property was mostly as represented on the VRBO listing.It was pretty clean (some of the area rugs needed to washed or vacuumed and some of the floor hadn't been swept.) There was plenty of light, both natural and lighting in the cottage. The location was secluded and private. I didn't like that how far from things didn't seem accurately represented. The 2nd bedroom was misrepresented by a different view of the 1st bedroom. The 2nd bedroom wasn't as private since the kitchen had a window that...

'Descriptions were right on. Loved the preservation of Log home and the artifacts on display. Lots of room. Good location to town and activities.Enjoyed early mornings and evenings Birdwatching from back porch, My Merlin app picked 15 different species of bids at one time. I spotted several I never seen before and spotted other local wildlife.'

'Another perfect stay in Melody's loft ! We highly recommend anyone stay here when in the Harlan area. It is quiet, absolutely spotless,with possibly the most comfortable bed we have ever slept on. Very close to restaurants and stores yet with that wonderful quiet country feel with a few deer running around. Thoughtfully stocked with bathroom items in case you forget something and some snacks and coffee and tea. Thanks again for a great weekend!!'
