We had fun exploring the Kitty Hawk and Virginia Beach area. The screen porch provided great protection from the insects while allowing the sounds of the water to lull you into relaxation. '

'Absolute cute place to stay! It looked newly remodeled and not in a too modern fashion. It was extremely clean and very cozy. The parking is alittle tight which caused one of our guest not to be able to stay with us. The surrounding neighbors were nice and quiet and we had plenty of privacy. I was happy to find this second floor unit which has a a half-bath, kitchen, living room, and a small deck off the living room on the first floor, and two bedrooms and a full bath on the second floor. 'We had a wonderful stay! The home was very clean, and the host was very responsive to messages. It’s a beautiful location on the water with kayaks and a paddle board provided. Our dogs loved roaming the property and the neighbors are all very nice and welcoming. The highlight was watching the sunsets out on the dock. We would highly recommend!'

'They didn't tell me they had somebody living on site until I was on my way there, between midnight and 2:30 a.m., because I told them I would be late, getting there.There was somebody else there when I got there in the room that I was supposed to be in, plus the person that lives on site.The key was where it was supposed to be, but the outside door was locked, and I rang the doorbell several times, and contacted the host, by calling and sending messages, and I still had to wait about 20 minutes...

'We absolutely loved the hot tub on the second story back porch. It faced the yard, not the canal. The place was cozy for two people but no more. There is an induction plate to cook on, so we brought our non-stick induction pan to make life easy. We loved hanging in the hammock in the porch area. We also enjoyed setting on the bench overlooking the canal. Take the exit by the fire station to find the place easily. The flashing tower is a great landmark close to the accommodation. 'This was a great stay for two nights. The location is a bit off the beaten path but a nice spot directly on the Atlantic Intercoastal Waterway. Great views from the balcony and large windows of the waterway and the boats and ships passing through. The room was nearly perfect for two guests, staying two nights. The bathroom was a bit tight and could use a little refreshing. Overall a nice , quiet and relaxing experience. '
