« We absolutely loved our stay here. The pictures really don't do it justice. A number of people said that the rooms, especially the kitchen, were larger and nicer than the pictures seemed. It's in a very quiet and remote location. The driveway is easy to miss so drive slowly down the road. Google Maps directs you to where the house is closest to the road, not the end of the driveway, which is about 100ft from there. Note that there are exterior security cameras. « We rented this lovely cottage for a Memorial Day weekend trip. Hosted our son’s 13th birthday party with s’mores galore! The boys enjoyed the pond and walking trails. The parents enjoyed the grilling and fire pit. Pictures online didn’t do this beautiful place justice!! Thank you for the memories! »

« The cabin was adorable but I didn’t realize the two person cabin had no bathroom. We were at the top of the hill and had to drive downhill to the bath house. Would have been nice to have a bathroom at least near our cabin to use at night. Also it was a surprise for the $200 deposit to come out the day before our arrival in addition to what we paid. Everything was clean and nice other than that. »

« Met my girlfriend as we both live out of state, her in Indiana and I’m in Pennsylvania. We picked equal distance for us both and found the White Cottage. The view was incredible even in the rain. It was clean and just perfect for our girls weekend! »

« Hello, I’m overall the great experience couple negatives were just the curtains could be a little thicker you know some of them they didn’t have curtains at all and I’m a light sleeper no pun intended so wake up early because of that. Also having a pedestal fan would’ve been nice I didn’t see any. They were ceiling fans and obviously the AC was very nice and cold! place is a great area very remote. I loved it. « My mother and I stayed in Steubenville to attend my daughter’s college graduation. The location is in a neighborhood near the university. We spent most of our time in town at events. The house has one bathroom so was fine for the two of us to use without inconvenience. »

« It is a beautiful property. The house was very clean and comfortable. The host was very kind and communicated promptly with me. We enjoyed the firepit with free wood and the beautiful lake. Note that there is only ONE bathroom and the 3rd bedroom is in the basement and is not a room. The wifi was out the entire time we were there but we were told it was not the homeowners fault. Also note that there is a significant security deposit, more than I've experienced before, that I didn't know about...

« We wanted a peaceful getaway and that’s what got at the Buck Shack. We were a short drive with breathtaking views and landscapes. We enjoyed a campfire with s’mores at night. Enjoyed the sound of nature and birds singing. Had excellent communication with host and most everything we needed when we arrived. The indoor decor is rustic and beautifully decorated with small accents and details. Highly recommend!☺️ »
