'The cabin was in a pretty location on the side of a small lake — but the location doesn't match that on VRBO which states it's in La Fortuna town. It's actually several miles out of town, which was a problem for us since we didn't have a rental car and there's no public transport serving the area. 'Our room overlooked the river. We had fireflys at night, chamelions in the day and real peace and quiet. There is everythng you could need pools fed by the river, trails through the grounds, kitchens barbeques all in good condition. Easy to get to on a good road and close enough to town. '

It was the first place we stayed in after arriving in Costa Rica, and with the quaint little neighborhood and locked gates to the neighborhood and the house, we felt completely safe and comfortable. 'This was a great stop over as we were preparing to leave San Jose. It is very close to the airport and within walking distance to a market. The property manager was great to help us out and very quick to respond. There must be more than one Cielo apt. because the pictures shown were not the apt. we stayed in.'

'Very good communication with the host Arnaldo. Easy check in with codes: no keys. The house was very clean. With four bedrooms the house was quite big but very comfortable for our family. The kitchen and furniture are a bit basic, but all new- seems to be recently built or renovated. For shops and restaurants it is a 15 minute drive through the hilly countryside, which was very green and lush when we were there in the rainy season.'

'We loved our view of the volcano from the backyard and all the outdoor living. I could sit by the pool and watch the hummingbirds in the morning. The separate bedrooms were great for our family situation. The road the house is on is gravel but it is close to town. We did not use the washer/ dryer or 1/2 bath. 'We stayed here from 5/17/24 - 5/22/24. We were 8 adults total. The house is very nice. It was very warm when we first arrived. Only the bedrooms are air conditioned. We found out quickly if you open the bedroom doors it helps to cool the rest of the house. The house was well equipped with kitchen items and we were able to cook a few meals. It was nice to be able to grill. The bedrooms were all decent sized and the beds were super comfy. We got great use out of the pool. Also the egg chair...

'We wished we had stayed longer. This is a wonderful property, well maintained and the owners are close by. The back yard is beautifully landscaped and offers a full view of the volcano covered deck area and a small pool to cool off in. Beds are comfortable and the house offers everything you could need. La Fortuna is a hidden gem. I have been to CR over 40 times and never made it here. Great restaurants and activities and a wonderful place to relax when the day is over. Highly recomended.'

'This was a perfect property for our family of 4. Conveniently located to town, safe and secure with a gate, beautiful landscaping, and having Stefano there to greet us and help us plan our activities was amazing. We absolutely loved it here.'

'Pros: Lovely creek runs along back of property bordering on jungle, with gravel pathways around perimeter of property. When pathways are accessed in the dark use a flashlight, due to debris and quite dark at night. A large stand of bamboo provides cooling shade but drops lots of foliage. We saw a couple of frogs at night. We enjoyed good WIFI connection. Dining table and chairs are indoors as well as king size bed. The bed is very soft, yet comfortable. Safe is large enough for laptop computer....

'The photos do not do the house justice. On arrival the house was clean and had all of the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. Each room had an individual bathroom with shower that had good pressure. The view of the arenal volcano was breath taking and the pool was a perfect way to stay cool down in the heat. Disclaimer the pool structure is made of a cement type of material and we did get some scrapes, but nothing too bad. Also, there is no jacuzzi it is simply a “water feature”. In...

Place to park your car, great bathrooms, do highly recommend. We only stayed 2 days but thanks to our host we maximized our stay'
