Silver Shells Resort: Buffering the pristine, natural setting of Henderson Beach State Park, Silver Shells Beach Resort and Spa sprawls across 31 acres with 1100 feet of private beachfront.



The Space:

This beautiful 12th floor beachfront condominium in the Silver Shells St. Maarten building has more than 2,000 square feet of living space and 360 square feet of balcony space. The living room, dining room, and master bedroom have floor-to-ceiling windows that open up to private balconies with spectacular views overlooking the pool, beaches, and emerald green waters of the Gulf of Mexico. This condominium has a private elevator that opens directly into the unit.



Guest Access:

Check in time is 4pm Central time and Check out is 10 am. In order to check in directly at unit, you must be on property by 5pm, Central Time. After 5pm Central Time you will need to go to our rental office in Fort Walton Beach to pick up a packet with your Check in information.



The Neighborhood:

Includes the only pool-side cabanas along the Emerald Coast, a beach-side bar and grill, 7500-square-foot lagoon pool, kiddie pool, hot tubs, watersport rentals, and organized beach activities. Placed in the heart of Destin, this beach resort is close to all the best restaurants, attractions, and shopping in the area. Other Things to Note:

Guests have access to the Silver Shells Clubhouse, fitness center, and indoor/ outdoor pool. See code section. Wristbands must be worn at the pool and common areas at all times. 8 wristbands are located on the kitchen counter.

Winter guests must wear wristbands when using the Fitness Center, Beach and Tennis, Pickleball and basketball courts. HOA will be enforcing wristbands in all locations.

2 Beach chairs and 1 umbrella in the unit for your use.

5 Key Fobs that operate the private elevator entrance along with pool and beach gates are also located on the kitchen counter. $50.00 Key fee will be charged if key fobs are not left in unit.

The kitchen was well stocked for our group of 7. King bed rooms were spacious. Easy to get to all amenities on the property. The assigned parking spot in garage is difficult. ( I believe others have commented on this as well). We ended up parking outside in overflow parking.

We had some trouble getting in but manger was very helpful in assisting us. The Location was Perfect. The Property was keep very clean. So was the beach. The beach wasn't crowded when we were there the first week of October. Water was clean and no waves the first 4 days waves picked up the next couple days. Temperature were in the high 80s and sunny every day. Was nice they have a bar/ tiki hut that had drinks and and small menu that you could get at the pool or beach. Kiddie Pool was fun for the little ones. The Playground was were you could see it from the pool so the kids could play and you could still watch them. Short walk to pool and beach. Showers and wash station at beach and pool. The Condo was nice for a family. Plenty of room for everyone to eat and relax. The view was beautiful for the Ocean. You can't see sunset from room, but they were beautiful from the beach. Condo needed some maintenance but it was nothing that effected our stay. Master beds were comfortable. The twin beds in the third room were not as comfy. Coffee cups are too small for the coffee machine,we went to Walmart that 3 mins down the road the first morning to mugs so we could make coffee. If you have anything delivered you have to meet them because you need a key fob to open all gates and up elevators. Parking wasn't crowded when we were there but they say it can get crowded during peaks. Would recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at this condo in Destin! The place was clean, spacious, and beautifully decorated, with everything we needed for a comfortable trip. The location was perfect—just steps from the beach and close to great restaurants and shops. The balcony view was stunning, especially at sunset. Destin with all the Amenities

We absolutely loved the location and amenities with this unit! A private elevator to the unit eliminated long waits, a short walk to both the pool and beach, with a beach shack with food/drinks and another on the beach with ice cream and waters. Everything was so close, easy and convenient!

The property was nice. I was very disappointed with what the unit REALLY looked like to what the pictures showed on VRBO. The pics made this place look much bigger than it was. A bit deceiving.Also, applicances were really a mess. The jazzuci's jets did not work. If you are going to have things they should work. Other than the refrigerated all appliances were old and needs to be replaced. Beds could use new mattress's.

Week trip

This was our first time to Destin and we really enjoyed our stay! The rental was clean, in a great location, had awesome views and the host was very responsive. We had a minor sink backup and she had someone over within 24 hours to fix it. They have beach towels, two beach chairs with an umbrella, travel size shampoo/conditioner and soap in each bathroom as well as hair dryers in each bathroom. The only minor complaint was that the unit was a little humid but she did have two dehumidifier’s running so it wasn’t unbearable at all. If we end up back in Destin we will definitely be considering this location again! Couldn’t ask for a better stay!
