I recently stayed at Dana Rayhaan by Rotana. While the hotel itself is comfortable with a good atmosphere, I faced an issue with a booking date entered by mistake. Upon arrival, the staff informed me that the reservation was set for a later date. I immediately contacted the booking platform, and they confirmed they would work on the issue within 24–48 hours.
During that time, I continued staying in the same hotel as a regular guest, hoping for a simple date modification for the unused night. However, both the hotel and the platform insisted that the booking could not be adjusted due to policy, even though I was already staying and paying for the same room category.
Policies should be there to prevent abuse, not to penalize honest mistakes made by guests who are already staying at the hotel. A bit of flexibility from both sides would have turned this experience into a fully positive one.
Overall, the hotel has potential, but I hope they consider more supportive customer service when cases involve genuine errors and guests already staying in their property.
