Driveway is very steep, so park at the crest or on the street.
No parking on the grass please.


THE NEIGHBOURHOOD;
Dalmeny is a small village located off the Princes Highway, 7km north of Narooma.
The beach is wonderful as it fronts the Eurobodalla National Park.
Mummaga Lake and its estuary flow into the ocean in front of the house.
Swim in the surf or paddle in the warm estuary waters.
The lake offers excellent canoeing.
Watch the sunrise over the sparkling ocean, from the deck and main bedrooms.
Fish off the beach or in the estuary, or there are numerous boat ramps nearby.
Walk to tennis courts, children's playground or along the Ocean Front paths.
Bring your bikes and ride along the wonderful 8km cycleway that winds along the beaches and wetlands into Narooma. Excellent MTB nearby.
Narooma features a magnificent cliff top golf course.
Great snorkelling and scuba diving.
Dalmeny shops are 200 mtrs away with excellent supermarket and Michaels famous fish and chips.
Whale watching and fishing charters are available from Narooma harbour, including trips to Montague Island.
Bird life abounds or walk the 7km beach to Potato Point. Great bushwalking.


HOUSE RULES;
Please respect our home.
We have collected our furniture, artworks, and other items over many years. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do and look after them.
The house, decks and gardens are strictly no smoking.
Please note that no stiletto heels are allowed in the house, please care for the timber floors.
When returning from the beach, please wash feet and keep the sand outside. There is also a warm water outside shower for when you come back from swimming.
Do not sit on the furniture with wet bathers.
Please bring the outside cushions inside before it rains.
Do not leave the gas fireplace running all night.
Please ensure the windows and doors are closed before you depart and that the house is locked.
Check-in is no earlier than 2pm on the date of arrival. Departure is before 10am unless otherwise arranged.
Guest Numbers: No more than 8 people in the house at any one time unless otherwise agreed in writing. (strictly enforced).
Furniture: On departure, furniture must be left in the same location in which it was found.
Ensure the BBQ is cleaned and turned off.

Cancellation Policy;
1. $250 of your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel outside of 6 weeks of your arrival date.
2. 50 percent of your deposit amount is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 to 6 weeks of your arrival date.
3. 100 percent of your deposit is non-refundable if you cancel within 4 weeks of your arrival date.
4. A booking cannot be shortened within 4 weeks of your arrival date.

Spent three special days here with my three adult children. Really lovely house with amazing views. Nice furnishings and bedding and lovely artefacts, yet homely. The whales were there in their dozens. Incredible. Hope to go again sometime before too long.

We were delighted by the care and generosity the owners displayed in opening their beautiful property to us. The views were outstanding, artwork and decor exquisite and generous access to all facilities valued. We were very happy to have the pantry basics included and loved the welcoming chocolates and champagne. Hoping to be back soon.

Silversea was delightful, warm and has the most spectacular views! Just a short drive from Canberra, we held our first team off-campus writing retreat at the Dalmeny property. It is in an exceptional location a few minutes to the beach or the inlet, excellent coffee nearby and a running/riding distance to Narooma along the beachfront. Cannot recommend enough, will be back!!

Gorgeous home to start our Australian Vacation, what a beauty it was. Highly recommend staying here, it had all bells and whistles of luxury hotels, it’s definitely a 5 star ⭐️ stay. Kate was a wonderful interactive host and so appreciate her sharing her lovely home with us. Loved how two kangaroos hopped along the back of the property when we arrived, especially visiting from the Austin, Texas & Picayune, Mississippi it was a wonderful welcome to OZ. It had sooo many amenities you will lack for nothing, even champagne was provided. Views were amazing , you won’t regret booking here, we loved our stay. This property is superb, really well equipped, clean and very stylish. It boasted extensive views of the ocean, inlet and mountains beyond with great whale watching opportunities. It is located close to nearby shops but is also only a 10 minute drive from Narooma. Beautiful house and sensational location.

We had a wonderful mid week winter break! The property exceeded our expectations and the view was amazing!! Everything was provided that we required with an extremely well equipped kitchen and chocolates and champagne on arrival!! Kate was an excellent host and communication was first class. We had a wonderful stay in Dalmeny. The house was beautifully appointed and well kept. The view of the ocean is even more beautiful in real life and it was a quick stroll to the shops / beach park. Lots of fun things to do in the area. Bring your bikes!

This is one of the most beautiful homes we've stayed in. Clean, stylish with a well thought out floorplan the views from every room are incredible! A 2min stroll to a patrolled beach, beautiful park and yummy fish n chips shop at your door stop. We've already booked our next stay. Thank you so much for a beautiful vacation.

The property is well positioned and we’ll set up, but the experience was tainted by the host’s unreasonable expectations and interactions that future renters should be aware of. As mentioned by other reviewers, the host issues a set of instructions only a couple of days prior to arrival that details their expectations of the visit, including their cleaning expections. I would recommend future renters prepare a detailed incoming condition report and have it sent to the host in writing on arrival. There were several issues with the property that we discovered throughout our stay (eg broken bbq lid, scratched floors, dirty cushions bbq and oven) that we were then charged for. We were also told by the host that additional cleaning was required as we did not mop the floors or clean the bedsheets prior to our departure. We were also charged additionally because all 5 beds were slept in, which should not have been a surprise because we had paid for 5 people to be there! Given we spent several hours cleaning the property according to the hosts other demands (including sweeping the floors and cleaning all windows and glass balustrades), it is hard to imagine a situation where someone could reasonably stay in the property and meet the departure time of 10am. The hosts interaction is unusual and unreasonable given the high daily rate and cleaning fee included.

This is a beautiful house - great design, lots of space, modern and plentiful amenities. In fact, the house and the view are probably even better than the photos suggest! Really close to the beach and handy local shops. Quiet location. Agree with the earlier comment re the tone of extensive rules which is less welcoming than the generous nature of the house. highly recommended

A beautiful well equipped home with great views. If we have a criticism it is that there were a lot of ‘house rules’ that were communicated only a few days before we arrived in an email that was a bit officious in places. The more surprising rules included no access to the garage, which meant parking on the street, and ‘you have to clean the oven if you use it’. Also, check out time was advertised and confirmed by Stayz on 16 May as 11 am, but the email from the owner on 19 May said we had to be out by 10 am and the cleaner would be arriving at 10 am.
