The Pace Place at Lake Martin is our second home that we are making available to others so they can enjoy the area. We are in peaceful area and this is not a party place or events venue at all. It’s not a place to have loud parties late at night. It’s a place for your family to be together and enjoy the property that is a destination of its own with all its amenities. The house is in the Sandy Creek area of Lake Martin and is only 30 minutes from Auburn and less than 20 minutes from Alexander City. The property is about 1/2 mile from the Smith Mountain public boat ramp.

The property has breathtaking sunset views toward the popular Smith Mountain. The property boasts 375 feet of water front along a flat lot. The shoreline is equipped with a private boat ramp, a boat dock, and a sandy beach swimming area. The boat ramp is large enough to accommodate any boat allowed on Lake Martin. Some aerial photos may only show the old small ramp which is now the beach area. Enjoy volleyball and other games on the beautiful lawn or relax by the fire pit. The large 1.3 acre lot and quiet neighborhood is the perfect place to relax and not have the noise or frustration of traffic. Getting to and from and in and out of the property with vehicles towing boats is a breeze. The property will accommodate several trucks and trailers simultaneously unlike so many other properties.

The main house is equipped with 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms . The first floor is about the same elevation as the dock with no stairs to get to the lake or from the parking area. This is great for those who have physical limitations or for children. While the property is not officially handicap accessible it is about as close as you can get. A bedroom with a queen size bed and attached full bathroom is on the first floor as well as the kitchen, den, and dining areas. The first level’s patio area has a gas/charcoal combo grill and outdoor seating to accommodate all your friends. The second level has the enormous master suite and attached master bathroom. The master bedroom has a king size bed and sitting area and amazing views of the lake from many windows. The sitting area is equipped with a sleeper futon. The second level deck is accessed from the master suite. Two more large bedrooms, each with attached bathrooms are on the second level. Each of these bedrooms have a king size bed and a set of bunk beds with trundle. A central gaming area, "Loft", is on the second level and is equipped with a sleeper sofa. An XBOX ONE is in the loft along with a couple of games to play or bring or rent your own. The area also has an air hockey table. A mini-fridge is in the area to put your favorite beverage in and save trips down to the kitchen. Curl up on the sleeper sofa and enjoy a movie and popcorn!!

A studio suite is adjacent to the house and Is equipped with a kitchenette with refrigerator and full bathroom. The suite has a queen size bed, a set of bunk beds, and a sleeper sofa. The suite has a coffee maker, toaster oven, griddle, etc.

The property has high speed wifi and a land line telephone if needed. Enjoy your favorite shows or big game on the 7 televisions (tv's in all sleeping areas) with cable. As previously discussed, an XBOX ONE is in the loft.

Don’t have a boat? Many rental options are available in the area and we can direct you to that. Don’t have tubes and other water toys? We will share. We offer complimentary; a pedal boat, kayaks, towable tube, paddle boards, and all sorts of other water toys just to make sure you have a good time. We also have a number of other "entertainment" items from books to board games and corn hole to volleyball. You will not run out of things to do around here.

Have you rented places where a little summer drought sounds the low water alarm on your boat as you near the dock? Not here! We have at least 10 feet of water at full pool at the end of the dock. We have 3 feet of water at lowest winter pool.

Like to fish but don’t want to go out on the boat? Fish from the dock or long shoreline or most importantly fish near the green underwater fish light we have installed adjacent to the dock to bring in the big ones.

Do you have some that say they want the beach or mountains? We have it all and more. We have the private beach on property, the views, the privacy, and the clean and clear waters. The many share items provided to enjoy. The large flat yard to roll around in. Go to Niffer’s and other local restaurants for fun dining experiences with all ages. We have fine dining with a chef at Springhouse or others all the way to ice cream from a boat on the water. Go zip lining at wind creek. Go hiking on the many area trails and climb the Smith Mountain Fire Tower and look back down at the Pace Place. Go golfing at area courses. Go horseback riding at nearby stables. Take a paddle board lesson or rent a paddle board. Go blast away some frustration at Lake Martin Machine Gun. Go to church, we even have them waterside. Shop at nearby boutiques, outlets, and antique stores. Like History? Go to museums, tour the historic Battle of Horseshoe Bend site. Go hang out with Kowaliga and reminisce about Hank Williams writing the song on the banks of Lake Martin. Go island hopping, have you been to goat island? Pirate island? Chimney Rock? and the list goes on. Taste some wine at local wineries. Catch a sporting event at Auburn University or tour the beautiful campus and agricultural facilities. Don't like Auburn, cheer for the other team, we don't care, HA!! Listen to some live music at a multitude of local venues. Swim. Boat. Fish. Don’t know how to fish? We have local fishing guides that provide it all. Hunt? Contact me directly about deer, dove, and turkey hunting. We DO NOT provide traffic jams!! I am sorry but we left those and overpriced items at the mountains and the beach. Need a dog companion while you enjoy some of the activities? We can direct you to the right person.

We tried to think of it all to make your stay enjoyable and worry free as we have rented on the lake for quite some time before becoming owners. We looked for exactly what we wanted for a long time in the best location. We also wanted to remain economical so everyone can enjoy what this area has to offer. We feel that is why The Pace Place will soon be your number one choice for vacations or other events.
