The Space:

Just steps from the base area of Crested Butte Mountain Resort, this 3-bedroom Chateaux unit puts you right in the middle of the action. The condo has been partially renovated, with hardwood floors running through the kitchen, dining, and living areas, plus an updated kitchen ready for home-cooked meals. After a day on the mountain, unwind by the fire in the comfortable living area, or step out onto the deck with a cup of coffee to map out tomorrow's hike.



The living area comfortably seats 5–6 between a couch and loveseat, and the dining area seats 6 at the table with 3 more at the bar top — plenty of room for the whole group to gather. Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom, so everyone gets their own space to spread out. The primary bedroom has a king bed, while the two guest bedrooms offer a queen bed in one and, in the other, a twin-over-double bunk bed plus a standalone twin — a good setup for families or larger groups.



All of our kitchens are fully stocked with pots, pans, cookware and utensils. While most properties have salt, pepper, and basic cooking pantry items, we do not guarantee these will be available upon arrival.



The complex has an outdoor pool and hot tub as well as a sauna. This is a fantastic place to set up base camp while you explore all that the Crested Butte area has to offer.



The condo is on the bus route to the ski area and it runs through the complex every 20 minutes in the winter with 2 convenient stops on the property. The base area is also a short 10 minute walk away if you don't feel like waiting for the shuttle.



Please note that the pool/hot tub/sauna area is open seasonally.  Typically it is open in season - winter season opening day to closing day and then will reopen late May or early June through Labor Day. For summer 2025 the pool will reopen for Memorial Day weekend.  The pool will close October 1, 2026 and reopen 11/25/26.



Please note that no pets or bikes are allowed in any of the buildings due to HOA regulations.  Renters will be fined $100/day by the HOA if you bring a pet or bring your bike inside.  Bikes are best stored in the front of the building in the bike racks (bring your own lock) or on your car.



The minimum age for all persons in this property is 25 years, excepting children (of all ages) with their parent or legal guardian. 

Please note that we do count all children and infants in the headcount for the property.

Guest Access:

Arrival instruction will be sent by email 3 days prior to arrival at 4 pm MST.



The Neighborhood:

The Chateaux is about mid-way up Mt. Crested Butte and about a 7 minute walk to the base area.



Getting Around:

There is a shuttle that runs through the parking lot that will pick up guests and take them to the base area. From the base area you can get on the Town Shuttle which will take you to the town of Crested Butte.



Other Things to Note:

PARKING AT CHATEAUX

1. All authorized vehicles must be properly permitted by Association management prior to parking in the parking area. Permits must be appropriately displayed for easy viewing. Usual display of the permit is attachment to the inside rear view mirror.

2. Not more than two motor vehicles (cars, trucks, and vans only) shall be allowed on the property for each condo unit.

3. No motorized vehicles shall remain parked upon the property unless the same is in good working order and used for actual transportation.

4. No recreational equipment or trailers shall be parked, stored or maintained on the property by any owners, guests, or renters. Temporary parking, not to exceed four days, of such vehicles must be approved by management and be properly permitted.

5. Designated parking areas are the only areas in which parking is permitted. Vehicles parked in non-designated areas may be towed at the owner’s expense.

6. No commercial vehicles and no trucks shall be parked on any road within the Condominium Project except when temporarily engaged in transport to or from a condominium unit. For the purpose of this Rule, a ¾ - ton or smaller vehicle, commonly known as a pickup truck, shall not be deemed to be a commercial vehicle or truck. The exception to this rule is an emergency vehicle meeting the following criteria:

a) Any unit owner required by his or her employer to have an emergency vehicle at his or her residence during designated times AND

b) The vehicle weighs ten thousand pounds or less;

c) The unit owner is a member of a volunteer fire department or an emergency service provider*;

d) The vehicle has an official emblem or visible markings of an emergency service provider; and

e) Parking the vehicle will not obstruct emergency access or interfere with the reasonable needs of the other residents to use the community’s drives and parking.
