'Great place to stay. We prefer a Drury over a Hampton or Fairfield.'

'It was clean and comfortable for the night. The free breakfast wasn’t great, but I grabbed a yogurt and a biscuit and got back on the road. Looks like there is renovations going on so it’s not the tidiest place, but staff was nice and the room was clean'

'For the price the room was fairly clean. With the exception of the air conditioning/heater unit. The vents were so disgusting. Breakfast was standard, nothing special.'

'Makanda inn is a very well maintained place. The room was very comfortable, and the staff was excellent. The breakfasts were delicious.'

'It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the room was very clean and exactly what we needed.'

'Very nice for basic.'

'Infested with rodents.'

'We came to visit our son at SIU and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was nice, clean, and very affordable. The breakfast was great, with lots of options. There's a bar right next to the hotel, which was nice, and a couple of restaurants nearby. The area felt safe and had a good amount of activity. Overall, a really good place to stay when visiting SIU!'

'Breakfast was great. Air conditioning was fair. Very clean rooms.'

'It was just fine'

'The 1st room I was given the AC unit would not plug into the outlet. The 2nd room I was given had roaches nesting behind the hair dryer plug. The 3rd room I was given had what looked like live fleas on bathroom floor. I then ask for refund. Pretty sad!'
