How's it sound?
The property being pet-friendly, along with the low $50 incidental deposit, was a plus and made traveling with our large dogs easier. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated.
However, the overall condition of the property fell well short of expectations. Cleanliness was not up to standard—we encountered an unpleasant odor in the room and found leftover items such as lids from old containers, hairs on the bed, etc. from previous guests, which is unacceptable. The room itself also was in clear need of renovation, general upkeep and in need of a good deep cleaning.
Additionally, for a pet-friendly property, the lack of convenient or designated areas for dogs to use the restroom was a slight oversight and made our stay a bit difficult as we were working to avoid other pets, general guests and significant nearby traffic.
We ultimately chose to check out a night early due to these issues, and no accommodations or consideration for a refund were offered for the night we chose to not stay. There were also problems at check-in with our Expedia reservation and pay-at-property arrangement that were never resolved, resulting in us being charged significantly more than expected and far more than the experience warranted.
Overall, while the staff was kind and the pet policy is a positive, the property needs serious improvements in cleanliness, maintenance, and customer provided services. Based on our experience, it’s difficult to recommend staying
