'The room was clean, however it smelled like mold inside and bathroom shower ceiling had some visible mold. The Caracoles restaurant staff were pretty slow when bringing in drinks when asked, even after multiple times, I’m not sure if there was lack of communication. I also find that although not everyone can be as respectful, past 12am, other guests were still blasting music and being loud because I don’t think there are “quite hours”.'

'The staff was excellent. We had an issue with our shower and we joked with the staff about how it wasn't working correctly, and the staff was super apologetic and even gave a discount when they didn't have to do that. We loved the pool for cooling down and the food was delicious. The air conditioning was on the whole weekend and offered an excellent refuge from the heat during the day. Great location right by the beach and walking distance to popular clubs and restaurants. We had a great stay.'

"Heel leuk hotel op mooie locatie zo'n 5-10 min lopen van centrum (ook in de avond goed en veilig te doen). Daardoor ook vrij rustig gelegen. Al hadden wij een kamer naast de receptie dus in de avond en vanaf 7 uur ' s ochtends kon je het personeel en gasten goed horen. Prima bedden en goede douche. Mooie tuin erbij met oa volleybalveld. En er zijn kajaks te leen. Ze zijn nog bezig met verdere aanleg van de tuin. Personeel heel behulpzaam bv bij boeken van een tour naar Chichicastenango of een taxi naar Guatemala stad. En ze hielpen ons met het bijboeken van een extra nacht. Ontbijt was prima. Je hebt keuze uit 4 gerechten. Avondeten in restaurant vonden wij tegenvallen. Wij hebben er 2 avonden gezeten maar een deel van de kaart was niet beschikbaar en wat we besteld hadden was niet super. Wij vonden het hotel zeker een aanrader."
