Very sad! $300.00+ per night was worse than I can explain! AWFUL! We were to have a king bed reserved, it was a queen and a very nasty place! The door frame was broken so the security lock would not latch. We stood in the hot sun trying many key cards because the keys would not work. After about the 5th try by maintenance, we got in to discover the broken door frame, wrong bed size, unclean and unsafe place! At this point we just wanted away. We were scared for our safety. We left, got a different place to stay after alerting the manager at OYO we were leaving because of the security latch not working because of the broken door frame. Since it was his last room he said fine and that I needed to take the refund subject up with Expedia about my money. Expedia, please refund my $600.00+ money!

We were on a driving holiday in Texas and were making our way down to Corpus Christi for the journey concert. We are on eSIM cards as we are international travelers and we cannot text or phone. The new clearance system being used requires you to verify yourself through a text message. Needless to say we were unable to check in and spent about 45 minutes sorting that all out. They have an automated system and very little flexibility when dealing with real people. It was difficult to find the parking garage, but eventually we did. Fairly long walk to the apartment, which is OK if you just have a carry-on, which of course we didn’t, The apartment is fairly dated, and had a very funky smell. All the knives in the butcher block were rusty. There was no body wash in the shower container. There were no hangers in the closet. There is no ice in the freezer. The bed was comfortable, and the shower quite powerful. The kitchen was well equipped, and the living room area was nicely appointed. Location was okay but neighborhood seems a little rundown.
