Spacious 3 bedroom 2 bath home with huge master suite. Easily sleeps 6 with lots of extra floor space for a cot or air mattress. Family friendly and pet welcoming . This 2000 + square foot home is completely furnished . 3 decks are just waiting for you to enjoy a cup of coffee as you relax and watch for wildlife. A play area is set up with sand box, tire swing, and a real wood teeter totter. The kitchen is stocked with your basic essentials as well as cook ware needed to prepare the perfect meal. Centrally located you are minutes away from the mining/gambling town of Cripple Creek and the Florissant Fossil Beds National Monument. Being only 50 minutes from Colorado Springs to the east you are open to endless choices. Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, Seven Falls, Cave of the Winds, Manitou Springs, Santas workshop as well as the beautiful Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. Canon City to your south and the Royal Gorge are only 45 minutes away, there you have the chance to enjoy the world famous Royal Gorge bridge, as well as seek the adventurous white water rafting that is near by, lots of fun begins in the royal gorge region. Plenty of great fishing awaits you to your west as you try your hand at Fly fishing on the Gold medal waters of the South Platte river or 11 mile State park.
The home is furnished with a king size bed, a queen size bed and 2 twin beds. The master suite and the living room offer televisions with Direct TV as well as free WIFI. The kitchen is stocked with everything to prepare your family dinner. The back deck hosts a BBQ grill just waiting for you to add your burgers. Coffee, creamer and sugars are furnished, as well as paper plates and silver ware in the event you do not want to load the dishwasher. Full size washer and dryer including laundry soap are furnished. Secluded, yet just a moment away from the pavement of a well traveled county road.
All that is needed to make this the perfect spot for your family vacation is your family.

We had a wonderful vacation! The house had everything we expected and wanted. It was very clean and host was very responsive. The property is secluded and spacious. The girls enjoyed seeing the horses in the neighboring property. It was nice to walk the dogs and my son rode his mountain bike up and down the hill and around the driveway. We explored much of the surrounding area for excellent hiking, mountain biking closer to Colorado Springs, shopping and horse back riding in woodland Park, and fishing at eleven mile. We also found Rita the Rock Planter down in Victor. There were more things we wanted to explore, but ran out of time. This area of Colorado is so beautiful. We would definitely come back here.

This house was perfect for us. There was plenty of space for a family of 6 to spread out. Everything was clean and nice and we loved the movie snack bucket and the absolutely loaded sundae bar! We’ll be back!

Amazing home, amazing location

Spacious home, stocked with all we needed and more! The snacks and treats were such a lovely surprise, the kids really enjoyed it. Host was very nice and easy to reach with any needs. If we find ourselves staying in this area again we will definitely be back.

Back home again

We stayed last year and when the opportunity came to return for another visit with son and family, there was no question where we stayed. Cathleen provides the most comfortable home away from home and no worries if you forgot something. We enjoyed the great weather this week, the antics of " Chip and Dale" (resident chipmunks seen morning and night), the grey fox who strolled by, and thank goodness, not the neighborhood bear that visited the day before. You'll find the beds very comfortable and warm blankets for all. Granddaughter enjoyed play yard and sandbox. Thanks again for welcoming us "home".

Sad we had to leave

Cathleen made our stay one that felt like a home away from home. The property itself was amazing. The master bedroom was so big the whole family hung out in there a lot of the time. We had chipmunks that made daily rounds on the property every morning while we enjoyed our coffee. The property was far enough away from touristy towns like Colorado springs but still close enough for a short commute to town for groceries or a local bite to eat. There is a little shop just down the street that I highly recommend. Cathleen came to visit us and gave us some helpful pointers about things to do around town and places to eat. We were sad to leave.

The house was great. Master bath and bedroom are fabulous. Second bedroom had a very comfortable bed third bedroom was ok with a trundle bed. We had 6 of us and never felt cramped. Lovely setting for quiet time and MANY activities within a 45 mile radius.

We stayed for a week in June 2023, The cabin was comfortable inside and out. It is set in a great natural setting. The altimeter app on my phone quoted 8000ft +/-. The owners seem to run a rock quarry a 1/4 mile down the mountain, we experienced no industrial noise at all during our week. We explored the area, the Gold Mine in Cripple Creek, white water rafting in Canon City, The Garden of the gods, Pikes Peak, and visiting the Focus on the Family headquarters (which has a free Adventures in Odyssey playground) were highlights. The cabin is not perfect, neither is my house. I say this so expectations are appropriate, not to put down the cabin (or my house). The owner has left meals for arriving guests in the past, this was not done for us, I include this to warn future guests not to expect, let this be a pleasant surprise. I am sure the owner has a life that can be demanding and may not be able to include this gratuity for each visitor. We did arrive to a half gallon of ice cream, fixings, and a basket of "movie night treats". We are grateful for the ice cream and treats. The cabin was a great place to stay and we had a great time. I encourage anyone to visit. P.S. Colorado state law prohibits retailers from giving out shopping bags, byob. Or the teller told a lie?
