'A large suite with separate bedroom and bathroom, both of a very generous size. This was offered as an upgrade which was a pleasant surprise. Staff most attentive and food and service in the restaurant was excellent. Highly recommended.'

'Kleine kamer met basis faciliteiten uitgerust. Badkamer was niet goed schoon, maar dit werd na constatering snel door het personeel hersteld. Ontbijtmogelijkheid bij de accommodatie is handig. '

'When I arrived, there was nobody at reception. I went and looker for someone to help me check in. I was referred to the computers in the lobby. However, I wasn’t able to check in via that method. I went back to the staff and then they finally helped me. I booked the hotel through hotels.com and thus wasn’t able to check in via the computers. Thankfully after that, everything went better. 'Zeer proper, mooie kamers, excellente service, gratis wifi, ongelofelijke locatie! zeer lekker ontbijt. 1 tip een bordje hangen met pijl om de b&b nog beter te vinden.'

'Really comfortable bed. Super clean. Great for a couple of nights stay. Close to the University to meet up with our daughter. Would recommend the Beth Chatto Garden near by for a visit. '

'Prima kamer. Genoeg handdoeken ed, uitstekende douche. Alleen waren de bedden erg slap en wiebelig. Wel goed geslapen. In de kamer was het erg warm, er was geen airco. Alleen een ventilator. De ramen konden een klein beetje open.'

'Convenient for arrivals at Harwick port. Nice swimming pool with family section. '

'Beautiful setting, very helpful staff, lovely hotel excellent restaurant.'

'Long wait at check in. Airco downstairs, but room hot and no airco. Check out time 11.00. But at 10.30 they said we had 10 minutes. Airco unit of downstairs next to room window…. Unbelievable. A lot of noise. Awfull service of front desk. Mostly not occupied and you have to call an outside number with your cell. Best hotel of Colchester. What a Joke. '

'Verrassend mooie locatie met ruime kamer, lekker eten, leuk personeel en veel gezellige drukte'

'No checking in service at all. No prior instructions were given. We were helped into our apartment by the lady who owns the jewellers downstairs. We were woken at 6.45am on a Sunday to the sound of scaffolders and a traffic management company setting up to commence install scaffolding at 7am on the building we are in with no prior communication from the host this would be happening otherwise I wouldn't have booked there. By 8am there was a workman outside my first floor bedroom window so I had...
