'Wonderful, accommodating, and attentive staff!! Beautiful lodge and rooms. Jungle and gorgeously landscaped flowering grounds surround the lodge. The food was delicious and in ample amounts. We did the snorkeling trip to Cano island and the hike in Corcovado park. Saw lots of wildlife on both, though even at the lodge we saw Macaws, a Toucan, Capuchin monkeys, and a large snake climbing a tree! 'I would not stay here again. Communication prior to arrival was non existent after multiple attempts through email, WhatsApp, phone calls and IG. The transportation and tour booking help that was promised in their description was therefor not met. Upon arrival I mentioned this and the response from the manager was that yes, this is known issue but there was nothing they could do. 'Solid choice for stays in Drake. AC in rooms. Fairly simple clean rooms. Saw Capuchin monkeys and other animals in the early morning and evening from the terrace overlooking the forest. Up the hill from the bay near restaurants.'

'The welcome by being collected on the beach and having our luggage taken to the room was a nice touch. The room itself was clean and the view was gorgeous. We booked a table on the first evening and it wasn't ready when we arrived, with the staff seeming stressed at our arrival. We loved that the bedrooms were closed off and did have air conditioning, but that the rest of the unit was completely open The house cleaning staff did an excellent job of cleaning every morning I had laundry done, and it was very reasonably priced and done very well The unit is within walking distance to almost everything but best of all the beach is right there!'

'This a beautiful property with rustic cabins. There are amazing views as it is high up. We saw many birds from our balcony including green parrots and toucans. It is quite a climb from the road, definitely not accessible, but close to Drake Bay beach, a grocery store and several restaurants. The staff were friendly and helpful. We pre-arranged a tour to Corcovado National Park through the hotel and it went great. You can order breakfast the day before and have it specially prepared for you...

'Really great staff who really know the area and cultivate the farm. They can give you information on ecology you won't find outside of guided tour groups in the park, and there's also yoga. The property is beautiful and it is easy to see birds. It is a pretty primitive property and so you should be expecting bug bites and no modern comforts. Bathing in rainwater is amazing, but it is also not warm. Also the ants really bite- I was itchy for a week afterward. So be careful. '

'We were prepared for no hot water, no AC, no cell service, but we were not prepared for the overall shady communication, vibes and charges. We booked this hotel to be close to Corcovado, and booked a tour with the hotel. When we asked for details, they said they said that the communication from Expedia was poor, and they only booked our snorkeling tour. We asked to cancel the snorkeling because the national park was our priority. She said they couldn't because they already bought the tickets....
